I always had it down as the first show of the year, although later narrowed down from the 3rd to the 10th... talking of which JJ you've still not added it to the main post. I noted on The Sun he mentions "and to reflect on what Fabio was saying last week, if you're gonna make a jazz tune, that's the way to do it" - is there anything said like that on here? Listened to this show recently http://rolldabeats.c...300#entry106048 and Fabio says "it's not all about putting one stupid sax solo in and calling it jazz jungle". Reckon that this Fabio show is probably from 24th January 1997 and not 28th February 1997 as he mentions Promised Land is on later tonight but there wasn't a Promised Land night on 28.02.1997. However the line up he gives out for Promised Land is the same as advertised for the Promised Land held on 24th January 1997. Fabio also says he played with Doc Scott at the Leisure Lounge the week before and Fabio mentions on the 17.01.1997 show he's playing with Doc Scott at the Leisure Lounge that weekend. [clip]... Additional tunes played in the second hour of the show:... I've worked out what's going on with this recording - only Set Speed & Worries In The Dance are from the 26th March 1997 show. Circles, Cobalt 73, Li-Li & Mutation are from the second half of the 19th March 1997 show and Ain't No Playa (Ganja Kru Remix) , Sub Zero & Prisoners Of Technology - Battle Master (Life Story Mix) are from after the first ad break on the 19th March 1997 show Right I was actually going to post about this -I'd been trying to contact the uploader to see if he could confirm about this was but seems you have beaten me to it and have a better rip of the 19th March show I did wonder because there IS an 'overdub' at 25:08, which if you have an old mechanical deck, you will know that when you tape over something there is a merging with what was underneath due to the length of tape that is slack between the erase & record heads, and from going by what I knew of DJ Hype he was starting his shows with a selection of 'old skool' tunes at the time......and I wasn't sure about the merge you mentioned at 31:19 especially as on the Jay Z tune he gives a shout "..gonna send this one also out to all the listeners up north..." which suggests its still the second week Anyhow I guess that's sorted now.... I've updated my post just to reflect the Set Speed & Worries tracks I've just had a thought while I'm here - Does anyone have an idea whether the DJ Kane tune linked in the quote above is infact "World Premiere", on the TOV US / Rawkus Primitive release? I'm convinced now this is the second half of the 28th Feb... maybe you'd could update to reflect No, I'm fairly sure it was Grooverider's scheduled show on 10th January - Fabio had a show on 20/12/96 which was his first week, so following it on from that you'd have the 27/12/96 joint show as Fabio's 2nd week, the 03/01/97 joint show as Grooverider's first week, and the 10/01/97 as Grooverider's second week. Fabio had shows on 17/01/97 & 24/01/97 as well . So my guess is that this is the 2nd half of the 10/01/1997 show (the mp3 for that is also 50 minutes long and the 28/02/97 mp3 is 95 minutes which makes it too long for them to be from the same show and it would also mean he played a couple of tunes twice in the same show). As for the show you mention here, one show which sounds similar is Grooverider's 28/03/97 show as his second tune is Me & Mr. Jones (Boymerang Remix) and he also plays The Calling remix. Missing the last 15 minutes of the show so it's possible Constant was played then. I don't think it's his 07/02/97 show as he doesn't play Me & Mr. Jones (Boymerang Remix) on that one. This was called Sweet Sunshine on the logical progression cd released in 96. In fact the case even has a sticker "Special Limited Edition Double CD includes bonus track Sweet Sunshine". The cd version is not the same as the one played here. You mean the 'limited' FFRR version of it here http://www.discogs.c.../release/896966 ?
