arne90
01/05/99Fabio & Grooverider (Kemistry tribute) I've only got an hour and six minutes of the show. On this recording, there seems to be a cut between the interview and the One In The Jungle set. I'm not sure if this was a glitch during the broadcast, or whether there's part of the show missing in between. https://soundcloud.c...-988fm-01-05-99Marcus Barnes has the same show uploaded on his soundcloud (longer too, 1:35:02). Seems Fabio & Grooverider play the interview in the middle of the mix, just where Arcon 2 - Skyland should get played and is missing here. arne90
08/05/99 - Fabio & Grooverider (Drum & Bass Tour - live at Ocean Club, Hastings) Found a recording of this on mixcloud, hour and a half long.https://www.mixcloud...r-radio-1-1999/ EDIT: whipped up a tracklisting quickly. arne90
One more recording. First half seems to be a section from Radio 1 live from Ministry Of Sound, Pacha, Ibiza - 7th August 1999, the second half I don't know. Haven't listened yet. EDIT: Could be from June 1999. Grooverider talks about the beginning of the festival season, Homelands Essential Mix, forthcoming Prototype night at The End. Ornette
01/05/99Fabio & Grooverider (Kemistry tribute)...Interview with Kemistry & Storm from earlier in 1999 That bit must be from 20/02/99. In the voiceovers its mentioned about a Kemistry & Storm spotlight later on in the show, talking about their new CD - assumedly this http://rolldabeats.c...dio_k7/!k7074cd The same glitch between the interview and the One In The Jungle set appears in the Don't Lose The Magic rip also so I guess it was part of the broadcast. Ornette
Also, is that earlier Grooverider remix of Kemistry ever gonna see the light of day?? Always felt it was better than the released mix More of the show is listed here, with that tune https://www.mixesdb....emistry_Tribute)
Brendon
It is a lot better than the released. Which is saying something!!! I think the only chance of it coming out would be on either 25 years of Metalheadz project or if there is a 25 years anniversary release of Timeless

arne90
I think my mediafire link should be in the original post. It's currently buried somewhere in this thread, pretty sure most people don't even realize we're collecting recordings of these shows. We should bug Goldie to try and dig it out, who knows if it still exists though I think my mediafire link should be in the original post. arne90
I have a tracklist from a Grooverider show in what seems to be mid 1999: Comment from show: "Big Prototype night at 'the End' and that's on Saturday July 17th (1999)" There's an event rundown around 89 minute mark, Grooverider mentions Swerve at Velvet rooms on the 23rd. I think Swerve was always on wednesdays? So that would put the show's date to 19 June maybe? I can't quite make out what's he saying right before 23rd. Mg2000
thanks for the corrections Arne, and yes ill go with you on 19th June as the date Here's another Fabio show, i suspect it's from late 98' or very early 99'. Tracklist from the tape is as follows: Krust - True Stories (Only a few seconds...)Matrix - Remix?Jonny L - PBX (Fab says Magnetic LP release imminent)Some chilled out tune?Pressure Drop - Got to be For Real (Grooverider Remix)Destiny/Pulse - Flytronix RemixAdam F - Brand Nu Funk (DJ Suv Remix?) Top 10 Rollers: 10. TNT - Another Classic9. Mercer - Petrol Jelly8. Photek - Form&Function (Track Playing: Knitevision)7. Krust - True Stories6. Fellowship - Mombassa5. John B - Pressure4. Ram Trilogy - Part II3. Mickey Finn - Urban Takeover2. Ed Rush & Optical - Wormhole1. Grooverider - Mysteries of Funk Few seconds of some tune, cut very shortGrand Unified - Le Hot (Different Version) cut short on recordingFoul Play - ? some vocal trackKlute - Talk LubaCapone - FridayRikki Blue - The SourceFellowship - RetroAppleseed - Mile High Express (P Method remix) (Unreleased) ?Primary Motive - Who Has the Jazz Here is the audio: https://voca.ro/mo4T1N6ZvUm I'm glad i caught this show, otherwise i'd never have known about that Mile High Express Remix. I stayed on a farm in Namibia a few years back, where i rented a big dobsonian telescope. I was listening to that track while looking at the Magellanic Clouds in Dorado and Tucana, and galaxies in Fornax, Sculptor, Horologium and Reticulum.....and man it just seemed perfect. Anyway, enough waffle from me....back on track
arne90
Here's another Fabio show, i suspect it's from late 98' or very early 99'. Tracklist from the tape is as follows: Krust - True Stories (Only a few seconds...)Dom & Roland - Timeframe (Matrix Remix) [Moving Shadow]Jonny L - PBX (Fab says Magnetic LP release imminent)Makoto - Wave [Nexus]Pressure Drop - Got to be For Real (Grooverider Remix)DJ Pulse & The Jazz Cartel - Destiny (Flytronix Remix) [All Good Vinyl]Adam F - Brand Nu Funk (DJ Suv Remix?) Few seconds of some tune, cut very shortGrand Unified - Le Hot (Different Version) cut short on recordingFoul Play Productions Feat. Shereen - Risk [Partisan]Klute - Talk LubaCapone - FridayBlue Sonix - The Source [Creative Source]Fellowship - Retrospect [Defunked]Appleseed - Mile High Express (P Method remix) (Unreleased) ?Primary Motive - Who Has the Jazz Sounds like it was the perfect track for stargazing. Listening to that tune feels like you are in outer space I IDed some of the tunes. That DJ Suv remix of Brand New Funk sounds different from the released one. I wonder if Suv made 2 remixes of it, this one remaining unreleased. Grand Unified - Le Hot should be the original not the 99 remix if I'm not mistaken. And the Mile High Express remix by P Method seems to be unreleased Love that tune. Checked P Method's Discogs, not a very long discography. VoiceoversOn Makoto - Wave - "Robert G wanted to know... played a track back in the day called Blueprint by Primary Motive. That is coming out on Creative Source alongside Who Has The Jazz."On Klute - Talk Luba - "Remember next week you will not see Grooverider."On Fellowship - Retrospect - "Next Saturday Pure Science at the Atomics, Maidstone. Representing will be Randall, Nicky Blackmarket, SS, also myself with assistance from Moose and fearless on the mic." That last voiceover would put the date to 3rd of October 1998, since that Pure Science event was going to happen week later. Somewhere in the show he also mentioned GQ men of the year award event that was on tuesday, but I didn't find the exact date for it.
arne90
From that same show, that Brand New Funk remix by DJ Suv seems to be the promo version on V-029, not the one on Planet V compilation.
Ornette
... ... ... Do you have to quote entire posts each time you reply, it makes this thread untidy and difficult to read, unless of course you are intending to do that so people will go to your nicely ordered mixesdb pages

jj
I got the date from the comment saying they'd gone to the Movement birthday party the previous night (7th January 1999) and Grooverider saying Mickey Finn was going to phone in on his way back from Bournemouth (he played at Cocoshebeen in Bournemouth on 8th January 1999).
