Hi everyone! I'm curious... What are your favorite breakbeats?

I'll start off with my favorites at the moment. This changes daily, but I won't spam the whole topic full :D

1. Commodores - The Assembly Line

2. Unknown Break? http://www.rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?/topic/53642-unknown-break/

3. Kool & The Gang - Give It Up

Hmmm I'll make a separate list of 2nd gen's...

1. Most Wanted - Calm Down

2. Style - The Assasinator (Killer Mix)

3. Intelligent Hoodlum - Arrest The President

Well, it's your turn, make a top 5 or 3 or just post your sinlge favorite drum break. Anything.

Cheers!

The Emotions - Blind Alley

Its a less exposed break but its been used a number of times in some quite memorable records and always sounds great, so...

2nd gen:

Tragedy - Trag Invasion

A number of times this record & its beat will jump into my head and make me wanna dig it out so I can hear it properly. That beat is so strong! Produced by the Large Professor in 1990 it was used in our music by Jay J & Devious D "Put 'Em By The Bass Bin"

Ok, so completely unscientifically, here is a list of the top 5 favourite breakbeats, posted on rolldabeats, as sorted by total views!

1. Kool D with Technolo-G - Go To Work

2. A Tribe Called Quest - Bonita Applebum (Why Remix)

3. Tuff Crew - Hittin' Hard Balls

4. The Vibrettes - Humpty Dump

5. MC Duke - I'm Riffin'

Interesting only one true, first generation appears in that list. I think HMM has been secretly looking at that 'Go To Work' thread, at least once every day. What do you think? ;)

And least favourite, with fewest hits,

1. Quadrophonia - Man With The Masterplan

2. Jungle Brothers - Beyond This World (Bone-a-Baby Bam Beat Version)

3. Jean Michelle Jarre - September

4. Elvis Presley - A Little Less Conversation

5. DJ Food - Importance Of Body Rhythm

Worth noting all 5 are ones that have all been newly listed, each this year. Where as the faves are all at least 5 years old.
