FuZion
Is there a way of linking the label owner(s) to a profile on RDB? A couple of my labels are on here & thought it might be a neat touch. Another nice addition would be if the label owner could update their label details to help keep things up to date (Such as website, releases, etc...). Cheers, FuZion. haste
Yeah, I had actually thought of linking user accounts to names in the database so that your profile could show your releases/labels and that kinda stuff. We're quite near opening up the database to the members so that they can add releases themselves. Testing it out in the net few weeks and then once we've ironed out any issues I hope to give access to more people

Will there be a kind of certification process to clarify the data entered so you don't get viruses, worms & stupid users ruining the database? That also prompts me to ask if there's going to be a sort of history of changes to revert back to any data that happens to get replaced with garbage? FuZion. haste
Good questions, this is the sort of thing that we're looking at and trying to think up some criteria. To start with all submitted content will have to be approved by site admin and the back end has been built to stop any malicious attacks on the db so that shouldn't be an issue. I'm hoping we can build in a history function although this isn't in place at the moment. I expect that this will all come in stages opening up smaller parts of the site like images, videos and that kinda thing and then moving on to more and more parts later. We need to give the admin section a full road test before we can allow anyone access to it
