Tape ID? Fusion, DJ Vibes, MC Marley

Hi,

I've been scouring hard for a long time for a Fusion tape that I lost long ago but have mostly failed. Therefore I wonder if anyone here can help me.

From what I remember it was a single Fusion tape from 1994-1995 (maybe 1993, probably not 1996 or onwards).

It was a DJ Vibes named tape and he took up Side A and at lest half of Side B. DJ CLarkee took up the other part of Side B, but wasn't mentioned on the tape or the box.

MC Marley was the MC for at least some of the Vibes tape.

The first song by Vibes was Rave is a mystery. The only other song I (think I) can remember is some rave version of I like to move it by Reel 2 Reel

That's all I have to go on.

Any help is greatly appreciated... Gutted that I can no longer find it or the digital copy I once made.

Ez m8

Had a quick look through the Fusion trackists, none of them match the one you're after.

Only possible is this one : http://rolldabeats.c...ion#entry127592

It has Vibes & Clarkee down ,but no TL has been done .

The Reel 2 Reel tune could be this : https://www.discogs..../release/340521

Which was starting to be played early 95, so that may help .

Hunting through the track lists and flyers for the various events the only one I've not been able to rule out so far is the vibes tape from 24th February 1995 on Hastings pier which I think was 'The Second Crusade' although there's no clarkee listed at that event. Anyone got it that could check it for me?

It's definitely not the Vibes set from Fusion 'The Second Crusade' - 24th February 1995

The tune sampling Reel 2 Reel which Vibes played in mid 1995 is Ravers Choice 4 (B2):

https://www.discogs.com/Ravers-Choice-Ravers-Choice-4/release/2969948

It's possibly the DJ Vibes tape from Fusion at Bath Pavillion - 12th May 1995 as it's got:

1) Ravers Choice 4 (B2)

2) MC Marley

3) DJ Clarkee on the end of side B

Vibes & Wishdokta - Rave Is A Mystery is played on the set, but not as the opening tune. Some other tunes on the set:

Edit V - Sensation (Vibes & Wishdokta remix)

Vibes & Wishdokta - Passion

Happy Tunes - Let The Good Times Roll

DJ Storm vs Rebel Alliance with Colin B & M.C. Rain - Come Together

It doesn't ring any bells. But, I have a feeling the tape I had at the time was a copy from a friend.

If you have the tape cover, does that mean you also have the tape?

I definitely think that i'd recognise it from some of the MCing on the clarkee part of that tape (oddly enough).

Struggling to find any sort of copy of any part of the tape online to try to confirm whether it's the right one.

Even if I could confirm it, I don't know how I would expect to be able to find an original of this very specific tape :)

Thanks so much for this. I've been trying to find it on and off for about 10 years.

The quality is excellent btw. Last time I dug some of my helter skelter tape packs out I'd only get about 5-10 mins before the sound would go really dull. I tried a couple of different old tape decks that hadn't been used for years. Cleaned the heads as best I could with isopropyl alcohol, but it would only ever give me another 5 mins or so.
