  1. Does anyone know where this breakbeat was lifted from? Also any other tracks that have used the same beat, are welcome
  2. For years i've been trying to get to the source of this very famous vocal recording. (purely out of interest btw) It is not the with the finger snaps in it nor is the acapella that was released in 2005 on "Golden Dance Classics" , which was a re-recording. In fact, Candi Staton recorded the original acapella as the theme tune for a Diet Video from comedian Dick Gregory mid eighties but to the best of my knowledge, apart from John Truelove (The Source) nobody has ever laid hands on it. Anyone knows more?
  3. ok, cool. Guess i will never get my hands on this one then
  4. Interesting, when i asked @thisisliquid for the source, the response i got was "For copyright reasons this cant be shared" if it was indeed an original vocal, perhaps he was thinking that i was asking for the sample itself, instead for the source..
  5. Anyone know where the male vocal originates from? Sample can be heard throughout the song but best audible in the end:
  6. yeah that's the one, sample appears clean in the Monster Club Mix. Thanks!
  7. Anyone know the source of this sample? https://www.dropbox.com/s/m8llsyrup5wz9qi/id.wav?dl=0
  8. they used their own vocalist, really?not sure if I find that brilliant or disappointing. Good thing they didn't have the singer on stage at their live gigs, they made it sound like it is all a sample which imo preserves the magic of this epic tune
  9. Question. Sweet sensation is used in Blind Faith by Chase and Status, but where is that second line (the music that we play will ease your mind) coming from? It's not from the holloway acapella but it's clearly the same voice! Can't find any information on it.
  10. I am looking for a sample that was included on Music Factory Mastermix - Issue 58 which came with a disc named "The DJ's Toolkit Part 27" The track is called "Strange Music It Can Begin With Men That Just Went On And On" and it's nothing more but a 10 second sample that says exactly that. There was a torrent posted years ago but there are 0 seeders, so i was hoping that someone has it in their archive and is willing to share it, Ofourse, the original source (possibly a movie) would be helpful as well. Thansk in advance.
  11. Bingo! It is on the sampler that you suggested: Masterbits - Rapsody Vocals 2 sample CDs Thanks so much! This was a long hunt!
  12. This is part of a rap that has been used in several video games, one example below (sample begin at 1:34) However long before this it was used in Terror Arnold - Gabba Mission. (from 1:37) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReQyWrNd6U8&t=1m37s so a clean version must exist, i have the feeling it probably came from a sample CD or LP since otherwise those major game companies (sega and nintendo) wouldnt probably be able to use it without clearing the copyrights I am looking for the original clean rap..any help is appreciated.
  13. sorry if i didnt make it clear. I'm not looking for a track ID - this clip's from Plexus - Autoshutter. I am looking for the origin of the rap vocal.
