  1. Dialogue sampled on DJ Die and Suv - "War and Peace". https://www.whosampl...-I'm-Positive!/
  2. Fair dos. Adverts disappear when you get an account and sign in. Especially if you block them. Slow? On a mobile perhaps. But on a decent computer with a decent Internet connection, it's fine. Broken links? No idea what you're talking about unless you mean missing videos. At least there is a proper system for putting videos on the site, and it is no more prone to the whims of YouTube video removal than this site is. I'll get the chip off the shoulder when some people on here stop it with the ridiculous snobbery towards that site, and the strange idea that some seem to have that it only deals in commercial music and chart fodder, and that Roll Da Beats is some kind of exclusive haven for elitists and those 'in the know' when the reality is the majority of the information on here is on there as well, and was often 'on there' first. I get it's a bit 'mainstream' and everything, what with the adverts and what have you, but if that's what's required to keep it running, so be it. And like I said, if you don't like the adverts, block them. Plenty here too, some of which I've corrected. The reality is, for all Who Sampled's faults (and you know I know there are many) it's still the best resource of its type, and as long as it is the only one on which you have the videos on the site with timestamped references, plus the ability to view connections / sample chains easily it will remain so. But I guess the fact I think that's a better system than scrolling through comments on a forum, a clunky search function, a fraction of the aforementioned site's content and a core user base of about five people puts me in a minority. This site is a decent resource (obviously it's more than just sample info) and has its uses, otherwise I wouldn't be here. But don't pretend it's somehow superior to Who Sampled, because it isn't.
  3. "all too obscure to be on WhoSampled" If you'd ever spent more than about ten minutes on that site you'd know that there is plenty of stuff on there just as obscure as those tracks you've listed, and more so.
  4. Gah, should have got that.
  5. I know the break you're looking for isn't 'We go to work'. I never said it was. All I said was that 'We go to work' is one of the breaks in the Fokus tune- that was before it was made clear which break the original poster was referring to.
  6. I don't need cotton buds. I was simply under the impression that you and / or the original poster needed cotton buds, because I could not hear the MC Duke break that is in the Fokus track in the Ray Keith mix, nor the Soul Pride break that is prominent in the Ray Keith remix in the Fokus track. I didn't even consider the break you were referring to at 1:08 in the Ray Keith mix because I didn't listen to it in full because I couldn't be arsed. If you or the original poster had been clearer about which break you'd been referring to in the first place and provided a timing in the Ray Keith track I'd have known. I shouldn't have to listen to the entire track in order to cross reference the breaks in order to work out what it is you are on about. As it was I just assumed you were talking bollocks and that there were no common breaks between the tunes.
  7. Turn it in, you know full well there are thousands of breaks out there, many of which sound very similar, especially when speeded up. If you were that good at identifying them, or that sure of yourself, you'd know what they are. Right, so first we have MC Duke 'We go to work' in the Fokus tune. That's not in the Ray Keith remix. The main break in the Ray Keith remix is obviously 'Soul Pride' or a variant of some sort. I assume that's the one you're saying is also in the Fokus track.
  8. There are two equally prominent breaks at 1:18, both of which appear in the tune earlier than that timing. So which one are you referring to? It doesn't sound to me like there are any common breaks between the Fokus and Ray Keith tunes.
  9. They appear to be Lord of the Rings samples / quotes.
  10. Intro sampled in Bill Riley - Future Funk (Full Cycle) https://www.whosampled.com/sample/700984/Bill-Riley-Future-Funk-Bob-James-Patti-Austin-I-Feel-a-Song-(In-My-Heart)/
  11. Benjamin Bartlett is the composer for Walking with Dinosaurs and by the looks of it the soundtrack was composed for the BBC with a full orchestra, ie- no sample CDs or anything. You would think the track in question would be the first one on the soundtrack album but the part you are referring to is not in there. Perhaps they sampled straight from the programme. I'm not entirely convinced though.

  13. Easy to say now perhaps as 'Lost in Space' is clearly the source, but I would have questioned the Jerry Goldsmith connection anyway. Although it's a similar sound, it's not played in the same way. So many times I have come across claims of a sample where the claim is that the producer doing the sampling has manipulated it, pitched it down, edited it or whatever. Then someone comes up with the actual source and it's obvious because it's identical. The point being- if it (a proposed sample source) doesn't sound quite right, it probably isn't.
  14. Original breaks are Rotary Connection- Life Could and James Brown- Soul Pride.
