just checked the new streetbeats site. artist name is one there, no track names though. check here: http://www.streetbeats.co.uk

killer motive - volume 1

(and killer motive == primary motive == one motive == motive one as far as i know)

i'll 'fix' the whole streetbeats discography.

Hmm. Don't believe the SB site on this. They haven't got a clue what SB7 is either. Guess they've just put that up because leaving it blank looks stupid.

SBEATS007 (promo only)
Astral Vibes
A: Head Nod!
don't know the title of the B side

SBEATS011
Astral Vibes
A: Mood Swing
B: Head Nod!

so Streetbeats 8 needs to be corrected
i.e. it's not Volume 2 since there isn't a Volume 1
and the Volume 1 can be removed from Streetbeats 11 as well

also the catalogue numbers should all be...
SBEATS001, SBEATS002, SBEATS003 etc.
(rather than SB001, SB002, etc.)

also there's...

SBEATS025
Various Artists - 25th Anniversary EP
A: Blue - Meltdown (Paradox Drumfunk remix)
B: Blue - Fallout (Filter 3.14 remix)
C: Fracture & Neptune - Ayahuasca
D1: Ultra-Violet - Kiss My Voice
D2: Ultra-Violet - This is My Place

Sorry, but I have to disagree there...

Just some streetbeats in my collections:
SBEATS3 (Peshay)
SBEATS012 (Blue)
SB018 (Blue Room EP)
SB19 (Raserblade)

So it's definitely not all SBEATS (and they're not even all 3 digits!).
But I think most of that will be sorted with the coming site upgrade (at the moment it's all listed the same way to get it sorted correctly).

(and I'm talking dead wax here, not the labels)
Thanks to RollDaBeats I've finally found a use for all the records and CD's I have bought...

ok so

technically they should be SBEATS whatever
even if they weren't very consistent in applying it
you don't want me to go through my entire collection to check what weird combination they actually used on each one?

SB isn't the only label that's got a bad history in catalogue numbers...

When the new site is up it's possible to have different catalogue number formats and still have it sorted properly (and there's even room to use a different label catalogue number and dead wax catalogue number).

So I'd suggest to wait a bit before going through your collection.

(and no, I don't know when the new site will be open).

Recently got a promo copy of sbeats 7, after listening a few times i thought it sounded too familiar, i checked a couple of others out & found its the same as sbeats 4 (Watton G).

Looking at the Watton G etchings, 7 has been crossed out & replaced with a 4.

So my question is, is there actually a different version of sbeats 7 ? RDB has it down as Astral Vibes but that seems to repeat again as sbeats 11?

My copy of "SBeats 7" is confusing me. Its a white label with the same track on both sides (might be two mixes with subtle differences but appears to be identicle)

No idea what the track is, deffintely not "Head Nod", might be "Infatuation" but can't find any clips online to confirm.

There's a version of SBEATS7 with Head Nod & Infatuation. On my copy the etchings are:

Infatuation side = SBEATS 7 AA-1-1-1
Head Nod side = STREETBEATS 7 AAA-1-1-1

Cheers for the info, this is from my copy. Blue/Purple 'Street beats' brick wall label (same as full releases from the time) one side & white label the other.

SBEATS 7 A-1-1-1    (last '1' is scratched in not stamped)
SBEATS 7 AA-1-1-1    (last '1' is scratched in not stamped)
