Paul Lee
Allright, so we have this wonderful 12" released by mighty Doc Scott. The only thing I'm interested in that copy I have has a place where stylus jumps. I thought I had bought blemished record but when I heard same record in the mix of somebody (do not really remember who that was) anyway, I was hearing this tune in the mix and was very confused when heard the same defect like stylus jumping. This is the place where is a sample from martial arts movie with fighting and screaming of fighters and stylus there becomes sticking...Am I right if say that some copy was cut with same defect? Please, advise. :dazed:
Phokus
the jump is part of the tune! Doc put it in there to confuse people
Ornette
lolololololololol! took me a while, but.... :roffle: Song's pretty gimmicky really. Never play it nowadays. Although I 'spose it could be credited with igniting the big two-step sound that became de-rigour for many years after that.
Paul Lee
the jump is part of the tune! Doc put it in there to confuse people Now it looks curiously... I have to make a little correction. This "defect" is available not in the sample from martial art movie but in break part. So, we have a break while playing makes stylus stick... Did you post about same thing?
Phokus
the "jump" is part of the tune. It is not a defect in pressing or anything like that. Doc Scott just decided to put it in to freak people out when they first heard it.
