  1. Got this dubplate with 2 tunes, one side says "Hells Bells" and it's an amen+hoover smasher. No other info given. Any idea what that could be? https://www.dropbox.com/s/wfglop4tsnxjg83/Hells%20Bells%20Dubplate%201.mp3?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/v19kzgpka3xy7f6/dubplate%202.mp3?dl=0 thank you!
  2. Could someone identify the two breakbeats between which the song is switching? many thanks.
  3. I don't think this is the Rebel - he showed more respect to his sample sources. This is just a mess. I guess it's a mash-up that somebody threw together with Congo Natty scraps and some other typical 94 sounds. Can't really understand all that the DJ says, but he says "Black Star Liner", which can refer to someting entirely different than Blackstar aka Rebel.

    4-Tree

    indeed, at around 2h20 Die confirms he wasn't 4-Tree, but that it was Didi Shrue, Roni Size's brother: https://soundcloud.c...edugs/dugsdjdie

    4-Tree

    seems 4-Tree was not DJ Die after all, but Roni Size's brother known as Didi Shrue (credited on some of V recs early releases). At least that information is popping up everywhere on the internet.Maybe he's also the guy behind the Diditec studio (just guessing from the name now)?
  6. Thanks, jj! Would be nice if the data base distinguished the two mixes. They are both listed as "Real love" now.
  7. I thought I know "Real Love" by Asend & Ultravibe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twQKX6-iBC8 But then I came across this other mix here, which is slightely different: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDKffwfR4qE which mix is on which release?

    Baraka = Jonny L ?

    Thanks for the suggestions. I agree, it sounds like a collab thing .. Jonny L is not really known for ragga jungle, is he? I have searched ragga jungle.com for Baraka. There is a guy there calling himself Baraka Music or something, but from his posts I doubt this has any relation to 1995 Barake...
  10. Rumour has it that Baraka is actually nobody else than Jonny L. It could well be true... aside from the obvious musical similarity, Jonny L has released other music on Boogie Beats. ... and, I mean, who has not wondere about these Barake tunes. The production quality is simply too high... Any opinions, ideas ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ei7Sex5dtww

  13. hey everybody here are some more Dubplates to ID. Again, I gave the tracks the names which are written on the dubplates. http://www.sendspace.com/file/wtrzkm 1 - Get make me high 2 - Come inside Vox 3 - Torch of Freedom 4 - New Era - Can u feel me 5 - What kind of world 6 - A touch of jazz 7 - Termite --> this one is crossed out and someone wrote DO NOT USE - DO NOT USE on the label any help in IDing those tunes is appreciated!
  14. Maybe that helps: the Peshay dubplate has "You got me burnin" on the other side, so it must be from around 2002. the L Double plate has "Marcus Intalex & ST Files - Revolution" on the flip, so must be from around 2002 as well.
