Yo! This break has been bugging me for yonks! Super tuff no nonsense break used mainly in mid - late 91 it appears. It's got that hard Euro sound to my ears.

Great break, would love to know its origin.

Also appears in:

DJ Freeze - Terminator 2:

2 Much Posse - Living and Direct (Sounds alot like Terminator 2)

Dj Freeze - Star Trek IV

The Hypnotist - Night of the Living E Heads

Human Resource - Dominator (Beltram Mix)

Merry Christmas or something..! Have a post christmas veg-out listening to some tracks and this break popped out at the end of..

LL Cool J - It Gets No Rougher

(https://youtu.be/XErX8bqgyC8?t=4m54s) stick it on 1.25 speed just get closer.

Sound like it might be a layer in the Reactivate beat, what do you think?

Gets No Rougher is a break in its own right, used in plenty of places.

a composite based around Funky Drummer as I remember

Not sure it's what's used in this "Re Activate" break...

Not listened to this break in question before but sounds like a composite also, there's definite retriggered hits and some layering so if its not an Out Phaze construction themselves it's surely gonna be a hip hop track somewhere

I thinks it's based on the bonus section of Hot Pants. But yea, just listened to the Voice activated version of reactivate and it's got doubled up/delay effects all over all the beats, so i don't know. Maybe they just found the midi delay and went for it..?

It's surely gonna be a hip hop track somewhere

And that's why I can't stop...!!
