Ornette
Manix - Feel Real Good (Remix) The original uses this also. Also:Manix - Try To Love Me Sounds like most people take the sample from the Helter Skelter track, although both tracks are very similar

I've been right through this Helter Skelter track several times but I can't find anywhere that the break plays clean without that little synth riff over the top, and can only find the one version of the track. Any ideas exactly where the clean sample comes from?Any help much appreciated! Will
Ornette
I'm not sure exactly... I've got a feeling the version on youtube at the moment is some sort of remix. It has chopped up amen snares on top which is not at all typical for a 1990 tune. In our excitement looks like everyone failed to notice HMM linked to Hyperreal above! So here's the correct link https://www.discogs....n/release/95936 One would have thought someone would've commented if it wasn't right... Take a punt on the 12", then you can tell us about it afterwards
mikeeee-mk2
The 12 that Ornette has linked to, has the right mix on - I used to own it myself
selectabwoy
I'm not sure exactly... I've got a feeling the version on youtube at the moment is some sort of remix. It has chopped up amen snares on top which is not at all typical for a 1990 tune. It turns out the one kicking around on the web is a 97 remix - yeah, the amens didn't sit right with me either 1990 version is here - break plays clean around 4:24 I've already used the 97 version with the synth riff EQed down in my mix... too impatient! Hopefully no-one will notice if I keep quiet about it
