nebkins Posted July 27, 2022 Report Share Posted July 27, 2022 I'm going to say Carl Cox set is probably from 06/03/93 as thats the only time i can see him on an Edge flyer in Feb/March 1993 and in this set he plays 17 records from his set from 05/03/93 at Club Kinetic. Ratty appears on 06/02/93, 20/02/93, 19/03/93 and 20/03/93 nights but the closest match is 20/02/93 as he played Quest that night and the first 15 tunes from that set are identical to the Edge set. There are 15 tunes on this set that appear on his 2 other sets from 20/02/93 at Psychosis and Dance Paradise but this could be either of the nights. Jumping Jack Frost appears on 06/02/93, 27/02/93, 06/03/93 and 27/03/93 nights. However this Edge set closely resembles his sets from 05/03/93 and 06/03/93 from Dance Trance and Quest so i would plump for this being from 06/03/93. Based on his sets elsewhere at Quest (27/02/93), Dance Planet (19/03/93) and Amnesia House @ The Edge (26/03/93) the most similar set is 27/02/93 but tunes appear on all 3 sets from this Edge B1 set. I think i would rule out 27/03/93 and say its either 27/02/93 or 13/03/93. Grooverider appears on 12/02/93, 27/02/93, 06/03/93, 19/03/93 and 27/03/93 nights. I have looked at all the tunes played on this set and compared to other dates from Feb-March and the most likely dates for this set are 06/03/93 or 19/03/93. The etchings on his dubplates from 1993 suggest Grooverider cut a dub of Rollin Like Scottie between 19th February and 26th February 1993. Fabio plays it at Quest 27/02/93 and that's the earliest set he plays it on that's tracklisted.
