sumo
Is the centre label the same as the repress (colour wise?)
Phokus
Erm, without the repress with me, I can't honestly say... This one is a very light blue colouring.
sumo
the repress was light grey with blueish speckles i think. Wicked man, now i have to track down a copy!
Phokus
Oh right, you reckon your "Unreleased metal" is a repress of the original Unreleased Metal?
sumo
I'd have to play you the 2 different versions of the repress that i have, When you set up your turntables in the new place i'll bring 'em round

sumo
So are you saying there are 2 different versions of the repress with diff labels?
haste
no, there is the original and the repress...i dont' know of any others
Phokus
Right, having listened to three copies over the weekend, the original MH-001 detailed above seems to be identical to the repress, 001/2. However, there is also a mispressed 001/2 with a different (unknown) mix of VIP Riders Ghost. The labels, however, are identical. Next time sumo comes round I'll record it and pop an mp3 up... haste
ah cool....i had heard people talk about a different version on the repress but then was confused when the repress i had was the same as the original....that makes sense now! Phokus
Tis true, a mispressed one does exist. The mix isn't particularly good, it's just collectable for the sake of being rare as hen's teeth! Forgot to say - MH-001 is pressed much louder than the 001/2 repress. That was the only difference I spotted!

Phokus
The mispressed repressed (try saying that when drunk!) version has been ID'd as containing: MET001/2 - Unreleased MetalDoc Scott - Drumz V.I.P Rufige Kru - Ghost (High rollers Ghostin' out) This version of Ghost came out on full release on Reinforced. Hence the quick withdrawal of the mispressed Metalheadz represses!
Phokus
Hold your horses, I may have been wrongly informed...
Phokus
ok i've just sat down and listened to; ghosts of my life ep on the "r" metalheadz no1 as it was meant to be metalheadz no1, the mis pressed repress The mis pressed repress DEFINATELY has a unique mix of vip riders ghost. The easiest way to identify it is the short piano riff that plays in the middle break down , i also think that the "mentasm" noise thats layered over said piano riff is slightly different. The tune thats most similar is in fact the original "ghosts of my life", not "high rollerz (ghostin out)".Hope this helps till audio is sorted! sumo
Hahhahahahahha! i don't know what i was on last night but the mis press is actually "ghosts of my life" as on the reinforced ep!
Phokus
Is it? No wonder they withdrew it quick!
