  1. This pertains to: http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/flex_records/flexreflex2/ I am perplexed by the catalogue number of this release as listed. I own the vinyl and the label says RE-FLEX 002 is the catalogue number. The etching says REFLEX002 on both sides. The attached picture shows both. I realize there are two other releases with similar catalogue numbers, so maybe they are dictating what is most accurate. Or maybe they all should be changed to the REFLEX### format.
  2. SumOne has moved from Indianapolis to North Potomac, Baltimore. Source: http://www.rolldabeats.com/redirect/myspace/sumone
  3. Marcus Visionary (http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/marcus_visionary) is the same guy as Visionary (http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/visionary) and The Visionary (http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/the_visionary). The real names of each of those entries even reflect this, so make Marcus Visionary be an artist alias, opposed to just a related artist.
  4. The owner of Big Tune Records (http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/big_tune_records) is Tester (http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/tester) himself. Source: http://www.trilogysoundcrew.com/foundationtour.htm
  5. http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/alphacut_records/acr007/ The tracklisting on this release currently reads as follows: A1. Alpha Omega - Concrete Pillows A2. Sumone - Rhythm Machine B1. LXC - Lock In It should read as follows: A1. Alpha Omega - Concrete Pillows B1. Sumone - Rhythm Machine B2. LXC - Lock In This is clearly indicated by the etchings and the label which says (on the B side): "that: alpha omega - concrete pillows this: sumone - rhythm machine lxc - lock in" Cheers!
  6. Negative. It has XPR2164 etched in the runout, a couple stamps of "XPR2164" as well as "Shabba Ranks: Let's Get It On" on each side. Then someone wrote by hand "Dillinja Goldie Mix" on one side and "Shy FX Mix" on the other. EPC661166-6 is nowhere on the label or runout etchings.
  7. I knew about the separate forum for runout etchings, but 1) I thought that since the release wasn't in the database already that it could just go with all the info here and 2) that information isn't a runout etching, its on the actual label. It may not be necessary to include in the release's entry in the database, but I thought it was useful info. Let me know if I should make any further action on that regard.
  8. Label: Columbia (http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/columbia) under parent label Sony (http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/sony) Catalogue: COL663559-6 Artist: Hooverphonic (aka Hoover - http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/hoover) Title: 2Wicky Media Type: 1x12" Release Date: 1996 Genre: Atmospheric Jungle? A1. Hooverphonic - 2Wicky (Steve Hillier Mix) B1. Hooverphonic - 2Wicky (DJ Pulse Remix) B2. Hooverphonic - 2Wicky (DJ Pulse Dub) -Catalogue number is written as "COL 663559 6" -The other similar release (http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/columbia/xpr2312/) shows that the artist is "Hoover" and the title is "2 Wicky". Conflicting, but obviously not different. Insight, anyone? -Wasn't sure about the genre... its atmospheric with soft female vocals, really simple 2step jungle beat, really organic. 9. Kriss Records (http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/kriss_records) is owned by Bong-Ra (http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/bong_ra). Bong-Ra hails from The Netherlands, thus the label is based in The Netherlands. Reference: http://www.bong-ra.com/biography.html
  10. Originally wasn't sure if this was released on the same Kriss Records that already exists here, but I confirmed it is.
  11. Label: Massive Support Records Catalogue: SUPPORT001 Artist: Selector Catalogue & Heartworm Title: My Microwave / Camate (Audio Cannibal Mix) Media Type: 1x7" Release Date: May 24, 2008 Genre: Breakcore A1. Selector Catalogue - My Microwave B1. Heartworm - Camate (Audio Cannibal Mix) -The runout etchings say SUPPORT001, and the label says massive.support001 Label info: Massive Support Records A from the gut.org (Detroit) / slowleak.org (San Francisco) collaborative 7" series http://www.myspace.com/massivesupportrecords Artist pages: none exist (Selector Catalogue, Heartworm) Reference: My own copy http://www.myspace.com/massivesupportrecords
  12. Label: Aphrodite Recuts (http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/aphrodite_recuts) or Aphrodite Recordings (http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/aphrodite_recordings) Catalogue: RAPH6 Artist: Aphrodite (http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/aphrodite) Title: Sea Mortar / Beautiful Bass Media Type: 1x12" Release Date: 1999 Genre: Jungle Tekno A1. Aphrodite - Sea Mortar B1. Aphrodite - Beautiful Bass -I am not sure of the label. It says "Aphrodite Recordings" on it, but it also has "Recuts" really huge at the top of the label. The catalogue number would suggest that its a recut. Ultimately, however, I think that they are the same label, one is just specifically designated for represses. -I'm not extremely proficient in the old skool jungle genres, but I'm pretty sure this is jungle tekno. 13. Label: IZM Records (http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/izm_records) Catalogue: IZM004 Artist: Dynamite Man & The Detonator Title: Blowin' Up The Spot / Just Get A Rep Media Type: 1x12" Release Date: 1997 Genre: Jungle A1. Dynamite Man & The Detonator - Blowin' Up The Spot B1. Dynamite Man & The Detonator - Just Get A Rep -The tracklisting says "C) Yes Yes Y'all (7")", which I interpreted to be saying that the 7" version included that track. My version, the 12", does not have 3 tracks. Artist pages: none exist (Dynamite Man, The Detonator) Reference: My own copy
  14. Label: Kriss Records (http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/kriss_records) Catalogue: KRISS1 Artist: Jahba (http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/jahba) Title: 'The Part Time Revolutionary' EP Media Type: 1x12" Release Date: 2005 Genre: Ragga Jungle, Breakcore A1. Jahba & Sumone - Part-Time Revolutionary A2. Jahba - Requiem For A Wasted Life B1. Jahba - Warpigz VIP B2. Jahba - Bush Is A Pussycloth -Very heavy transparent blue vinyl -I can't confirm that this is the same Kriss Records as the linked one above. Artist pages: http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/jahba http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/sumone Reference: My own copy http://www.discogs.com/Jahba-The-Part-Time.../release/392314
  15. Label: Congo Natty (http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/congo_natty_records) Catalogue: CLC004 Artist: Rebel MC (http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/rebel_mc) Title: Trinity Way - 2000 / 'Ses' Jungle - 2000 Media Type: 1x12" Release Date: ??? Genre: Ragga Jungle A1. Rebel MC - 'Ses' Jungle B1. Rebel MC - Trinity Way -There is a lot of mystery surrounding this release. I assume it is a repress, but there are very few informative markings on the actual vinyl or the label. The runout etchings only say "Ses Jungle" and "Trinity Way", with no catalogue number. -The label itself only says the following: "Vynil 4" (wtf, misspelling?), "Side 1" or "Side 2", "45 rpm", the Congo Natty Recordings logo, and then "Trinity Way - 2000" or "'Ses' Jungle - 2000". -Anyone with more information on this record would be hailed as a genius. Artist pages: http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/rebel_mc Reference: http://www.chemical-records.co.uk/sc/servl...fo?Track=CLC004 My own copy EDIT: Forgot to mention: I previously owned two copies (which I traded away eventually), and the other copy actually had the same track title on both sides but was the same tracks. I can't remember if it said 'Ses' Jungle twice or Trinity Way.
