Problem is, all the old URLs that are on this forum have been truncated (i.e. contain "..." in the actual link) due to the forum conversion. No way to recover the internal bits of the URL However, if the track ID is still at the end of the tarzan.spoox.org link, it can be copied & pasted for use on RDB (just open a release's "permalink", and replace the track ID at the end w/ the one from the old link) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I don't know exactly how they worked and whether the IDs in those URLs will match the current db's ones. haste Posted April 21, 2009 Report Share Posted April 21, 2009 Names of labels/artist do change as well as cat nos sometimes changing a little bit from time to time and, you're right, this will break the URL. There's no way of us keeping the old URLs alive in this case. However, the new permalink feature in the bottom left of each page will provide a permanent link to that artist, label or release even if the "friendly" URL changes at some point.
