The_Manipulator
Could somebody verify this: Kid 'n Play - 2 Hypehas a seemingly constructed (so original in this tune) synth riff that was used in Altern 8 - Activ 8. But it doesn't appear clean in the tune. So does the album version or the remix on the US 12" has a clean version of this riff? (The Dancin' Danny D remix doesn't have it at all). Anyway, chase it, cos IMO it's the 12" that's really worth having for that Kid'n'Play tune.

I have the COOLX 175 version, and it doesn't appear clean in the instrumental (if I remember correctly Altern 8 uses a loop with only the strings... and even in the instrumental there's always a drum computer underneath). I definitely think it's NOT the Danny D remix (unless the remix on COOLXR 175 is completely different from the one on COOLX 175, as that doesn't even contain the synth riff). So I was more thinking about the other remixes on this 12"...

Other than that, I really dunno...
The_Manipulator
In an old Select, in which Altern8 breakdown their album, they say "And that's got this sample on it, off an old Danny D remix that was big in '89". Which would suggest that the Danny D remix on COOLXR175 is indeed different from the one on COOLX175... But since Altern 8 mention it in that article I'll add it as a sample.
