  1. Thanks for that, when I get a chance I'll upload some more. Is there a tracklist for the Swan-E mix, couldn't see anything on the search. Okay I've added some more that I had. Again no idea on the year/event (unless obvious) and if they've already been made available on the net. Just thought I would post them. http://www.mediafire...215a7ec80acde97 Colin Dale DJ Hype - Helter Skelter 98 DJ Zinc - One In The Jungle Pt02 Dougal - Juice GEreal - Dance Paradise (I think) Jumpin Jack Frost - Roast Kenny Ken Ramos - Helter Skelter 1995 Randall - Helter Skelter 1995 Ray Keith Slipmatt - Helter Skelter
  2. A bunch of tapes I've mp3'ed unfortunately I didn't label or they didn't have them on, so year and event is unknown (unless obvious) and no idea if they've already been made available on the net. Just thought I would post them. http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=49a3e1cba6fddb5aab1eab3e9fa335ca3215a7ec80acde97 Darren Jay - Strictly Jungle DJ Sy - World Dance DJ Hype - Album Mix DJ Hype - Jungle Fever DJ Hype - Kiss100-Show DJ Hype - Roast DJ Hype/Ron - One In The Jungle DJ Hype - Studio Mix DJ Hype/Zinc - One In The Jungle DJ Hype/Andy C - Jungle Fever Swan-E - ?
  3. @nebkins, thanks the ID's. I still can't believe I managed to find the mix given how long ago it was. ..bet you remember the Lido Seductions and the man they called Daniel Nib as well! I'm surprised that this tune had a more techno/house sound to it unless that was the pre-hardcore, always thought it was hardcore (DJ Seduction sounding). Anyway - Logic Records While looking for Ave Maria came across this as well. Top Buzz - Starlight
  4. OMG I've found it! felt like 1992 all over again.. buzzing! Anyway it was this tune that got me into the 1992 sound as most of what I heard b4 it sounded to LCD inspired. JJF, Swan-E, Ellis Dee and TopBuzz this is where it began for me. Jumping Jack Frost (Reincarnation: 25-07-92) - Orchestral Tune - TuneID? Legendary download from: dev1ous.com
  5. Not sure, similar style of build up, but I'm sure I remember the intro sounding more string like.
  6. I heard this tune in 1992 about december time on a Jumping Jack Frost mix and I think the event was Reincarnation. Basically either Frost was next on or just stopped the tune (crowd and whistles MC over the top obvious) he then drops a tune which starts like an orchestral symphony gradually building up with the classic hardcore break. And that's about all I can remember. I think this tune will be late 1991 or 1992 so not the 1991 housey sound definitly more the 1992 hardcore sounding. The closest tune I found that does something similar (slow build and hardcore break) and from the 1992 period is: ..in fact anything sounding like DJ Seduction's from 1992 is what the mix and tune sound most like.
  7. I remember Nik, Neil, the ever happy Jay and Mrs Mario. Shame because it was a short lived shop and would look out of place on takeaway mile now. I know Thanets small but to get two peeps who clicked on the Sonix comment just goes to show just how small. @jj, thanks that's the one!
  8. haha I thought I would throw that comment in, you know what Thanet is like! Yep Sonix and ThirdEye the closest I could get to London at the time. Good times..
  9. @recoil, @haste, thank you! that is the ONE! ...can't believe how many banging tunes I'm finding DJ SS / Formation name on. Liked I said in my other post I wish I had better access to tuneID's in 94!
  10. So it's: sample-01 => ? sample-02 => Brainkillers - Screwface sample-03 => The Invisible Man - The Bell Tune sample-04 => Bass Selective - Blow Out Pt II sample-04 => =>Urban Shakedown - Burning Passion Wow sample-04 Bass Selective is bordering that happy hardcore sound IMO and in a Gachet mix. But it was the Urban Shakedown I was after which I can't believe as I used to have that but was along time ago!! Could find anything on World Order double-pack 10 on YouTube.. I know on sample-01 DR S starts the mix with Andy C - Cool Down, so I've uploaded a longer sample Sample-01:Longer Thanks again all if only the internet/tuneID's was better back in 1994-95 I would have been so broke and Sonix (in Margate) best customer!
  11. @recoil, wow that's the closet I've heard! but I'm not 100% sure. I've uploaded a longer sample which might help. Poltergeist Sample:Longer I wish I had asked Ray Keith (didn't realise at the time) in 1995 (I think) when I wound him up in nice way in Blackmarket Records about DJ's I liked.. "yeah Hype's good, Ray Keith not bad..." hehe anyway. Hyper-On Experience - Half Stepper sounds close it's just that extended dark-errie sample over the burial that I didn't here on Hyper-On Experience - Half Stepper. It's out somewhere! Thanks though :-)
  12. 4 Tune samples from DR S Gachet World Dance 94 (GQ comes in just before the end) not sure when http://www.mediafire.com/file/euttdwthwzt/sample-01.mp3 http://www.mediafire.com/file/zedjyyxnhhe/sample-02.mp3 => Brainkillers - Screwface http://www.mediafire.com/file/nmdy1ytzwom/sample-03.mp3 http://www.mediafire.com/file/my3mdn2dqlt/sample-04.mp3 Thanks. :-)
  13. Came from a Ray Keith mix (year/venue?? unknown) with a clear sample from the Poltergeist film. Poltergeist Sample:Short When I asked on dnbforum people thought it was Hyper On Experience Lord of the Null Lines, or some something from 1992 but it wasn't. I'm sure it's a late 1993-1994 sounding tune... Thanks.
