I'm looking for the main break used in this Fokus tune, starting at 1:18 (there's a "Think" tambourine loop running on top):

I am not sure of the origin, sorry, but I think this is also used in the Ray Keith remix of Baby D - Let Me Be Your Fantasy.

It sounds like a longer sample of the same break.

There are two equally prominent breaks at 1:18, both of which appear in the tune earlier than that timing. So which one are you referring to? It doesn't sound to me like there are any common breaks between the Fokus and Ray Keith tunes.

Actually, no I think that's different listening now... that "Renegade Snares" break is one I've long wondered about though.
No idea what either is unfortunately!

Not sure where I got 1:18 from, I meant to type 1:00 which is where it first appears (and then throughout the track)
I isolated a relatively clean 4 bar part starting from 6:01 here: https://clyp.it/drpq4d0c

Turn it in, you know full well there are thousands of breaks out there, many of which sound very similar, especially when speeded up. If you were that good at identifying them, or that sure of yourself, you'd know what they are. Right, so first we have MC Duke 'We go to work' in the Fokus tune. That's not in the Ray Keith remix. The main break in the Ray Keith remix is obviously 'Soul Pride' or a variant of some sort. I assume that's the one you're saying is also in the Fokus track.

Naah, that's not the break in question. The same break is in the Ray Keith track, in fact that's the best place to listen to it, at 1:08

It's so familiar and I'm sure there's other tunes using it, but afraid I still can't give an authoritative source for it!

Yes, that is the break in the Ray Keith remix that i'm referring to.  Definitely not soul pride or the MC Duke break.  Chinny, PM me your address and i'll post you some cotton buds p.s. no need to get aggro

I don't need cotton buds. I was simply under the impression that you and / or the original poster needed cotton buds, because I could not hear the MC Duke break that is in the Fokus track in the Ray Keith mix, nor the Soul Pride break that is prominent in the Ray Keith remix in the Fokus track. I didn't even consider the break you were referring to at 1:08 in the Ray Keith mix because I didn't listen to it in full because I couldn't be arsed. If you or the original poster had been clearer about which break you'd been referring to in the first place and provided a timing in the Ray Keith track I'd have known. I shouldn't have to listen to the entire track in order to cross reference the breaks in order to work out what it is you are on about. As it was I just assumed you were talking bollocks and that there were no common breaks between the tunes.

The break in question is used throughout the "Pressures" track, and in the opening sections, as a break switch, in "The Zone". It's not We Go To Work

I know the break you're looking for  isn't 'We go to work'. I never said it was. All I said was that 'We go to work' is one of the breaks in the Fokus tune- that was before it was made clear which break the original poster was referring to.
