Tune ID - Doc Scott @ Blue Note, March 1996

Thanks! Had a feeling it'd be Justice (has him written all over it), but would've never guessed it'd be a remix of Detroit. It sounds to me like he hasn't retained many elements of the original in this remix, almost like a reinterpretation. A shame it's unreleased as it's so good, I hope it doesn't differ too wildly from either of the released mixes on PM016, can't find audio anywhere for those unfortunately.

Ed Rush - Density [Metalheadz]

It's similar to his first remix on the Detroit remixes release

Perfect! It's so uplifting and optimistic-sounding I may just get myself a copy off discogs.

I recently came across two more recordings of Metalheadz nights, both Doc Scott. One is from Blue Note and the other from the Leisure Lounge, neither of which seem to be listed on this site to my knowledge, nor on MixesDB. Do you reckon it's a good idea to compile a thread of all Metalheadz related sets out there? A lot of intrigue surrounding these nights.

The first one is a 25 minute segment from Blue Note, dated 1997, with Justyce on mic.

This next one is from Leisure Lounge, dated April 12th 1997 and is side A. Side B is not to be found.

I've done a tracklist for the Leisure Lounge set. That unreleased Doc Scott tune turned up in one of the dubdubdub's dubplate threads. I asked Doc Scott to confirm if it's one of his, and he said it is. Didn't give any name for it.

Never heard that one before

Although you can tell its one of his tracks as the bass is similar to March (flip to shadow boxing remix)

Judging by the tracklist, this could have been in november or december 1996. Maybe January 1997. Similar tunes played in other sets by Doc Scott and the Instrumental mix of Digital by Goldie got played by other djs also in that period.
