  1. Hi all, Trying to get my hands on a Renegade Snares - Omni Trio record at the moment but there has been alot of confusion on various Jungle compilations over the years about which is the original and which is the Foul Play remix. I'm sure this topic has come up before? Personally, I am pretty sure the link below is in fact the Foul Play remix (as stated) - if any experts can confirm this I won't have to fork out for the version I don't want! Thanks in advance for your replies. Tim
  2. Hi all, A friend of mine has a copy of Octave One - Chillin' Out (94). I've been looking for a copy myself for a while but there seems to be some confusion about the correct version of the track. The copy my friend has is in the usual red and cream/beige 31 Records sleeve and label. When I've searched for the track on youtube, there is a different version to the one I want and that of my friend. This version is more chilled out and the version I want is similar but has a more traditional old skool breakbeat and is more jump-up. The sleeve/tracklisting on youtube and discogs of this look exactly the same as my friends version? (See attachment) See these links below: wrong version: version I want: (listed on Radio Dreamscape as 'You Got's to Chill' - Octave One) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LkjNqVM5o8 If anyone could clear up this confusion it would much appreciated as I would really like to get my hands on the better version of this track (in my opinion!) Cheers, Tim
  3. Hi all, I'm trying to locate a tune or tracklist from a Fabio & Grooverider set from May 7th 1999. This was aired live on Radio One from The Ocean Club (I think) in Hastings. MC GQ on the mic for this particular tune. It has a very simple digitized 'bleep' melody and hi-hat intro, then breaks down into sweeps and fx before dropping into a heavy, techy type beat and acidic bassline - proper jump-up. Grooverider gave this a rewind after GQ and the crowd went mental (GQ then says: 'you know how we do'......). This tune should have been huge and is highly under-rated! Other tracks from this set include (this might help identify the set): Decoder - 'Yes Men' Grooverider - 'Where's Jack the Ripper' (Origin Unknown remix) a track from Underfire records Calibre - Mystic (while Fabio played) any help muchly appreciated Tim
  4. Hi all, I am a pure old skool Jungle head and have been dj'ing since 1994 and have most of what I regard as the 'classic' tunes. When I was 15 I went record shopping in London and went to Section 5 in Chelsea (not sure if this even exists anymore)and stumbled across a Section 5 picture disc. I didn't know at the time but this turned out to be Adam F - Circles (remix) which seemed to be at ebery rave and mixtape at the time. I have regretted not listeneing to the track or buying it then ever since and I am now 28 years old! I cannot find this version of Circles anywhere and I beleive it to be the best and rarest version. To best describe it; it is slightly more 'jump-up' than the original, slightly less mellow and has distinctive sections with the time-stretched main sample riff and occasional breakbeat cymbals. This version is not to be confused with the Roni Size and Andy C remixes which everybody has! Check this link to the correct version: http://www.rolldabea...n_5/section11r/ I would really appreciate it if someone would sell me a copy or point me in the right direction of where I could buy it from. Cheers and keep Jungle living on! Timmy G
