pleez help: seeking mickey finn set 1996/'97

on holiday in the uk in 1996/97, i came across a set of mickey finn at a party at the sanctuary, milton keynes.

for me it was the definitive jungle set,

bought the tape from a mate while i was there,

& within 3weeks of me returning to sa it was stolen...

i've spent the last 12yrs trying to track this set down, & as a result my drumm'nbass collection has grown considerably.

 

it features a live version of "the pussyclub" (i think it's called) right in the middle of the mix & is surrounded on all sides by the finest jungle & hardstep...

& i think it begins with

half the trax i still don't know

i think this mix was recorded somewhere around the last 3months of '96- first 3months of '97.

i remember the mc in the middle of the mix announcing a licenceplate number & saying that the car's headlights were still on.

The "You Don't Love Me Anymore" track is a Aphrodite remix of Yazz's Abondon Me and is on You Tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n21wUlVL13s

 

And the Star wars remix was by The Dream Team and released on Joker records in late 97.

 

Because Dream Teams Sta warz didn't come out until late 97, my guess is the tape was from early 97.

 

The sanctuary was usally hired out by Helter Skelter, so I reckon if you sort through 1997 Helter Skelter tape packs you will find the tape. I own a Helter Skelter video from the Santuary from June 1997 and Ellis Dee plays that Star wars track. So you are definitly in the right era.

much appreciate the input- i was chasing around slammin vinyl catalogues, but i think helter skelter could be an option.

this whole mission of finding what i'm looking has become a journey thru drums, & even some bellydancing music

in my opinion the tabla drum is what makes quality d'nb that something more special

but that's just me
