Force is Electric
flute (??) riff at the beginning sampled in DJ Red - Murder One - T.O.V. (and the remix) Clip here
Beebe
The original sample is actually from RCA's intro to most videos back in early 80s. I remembered it from watching video discs (original video discs that look like records) on an RCA video disc player and all of them had that as the intro. Force is Electric
Thanks for the info. No doubt the sample doesn't originate with Meth, but I still think Red would of used Tical because his tune had a wu/hiphop theme (sampled Meth vocals from 'How High' as well). neurotix
The music is the Promenade from Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition," performed by Isao Tomita.
Ian_s
Twangy guitar ""RZA: For that beat right there, a very open beat, not too heavy on production. This is me trying to imitate the sound Isaac Hayes did on “Do Your Thing.” That da-na-na-na-na, I found a way to imitate that s***. When you plug the Yamaha VL7 [keyboard] up to a MPC [sampler], because of the note cutoff of the MPC, it cause the notes to stutter, ’cause it don’t link up perfect. I heard it and I could reproduce it, but only with those two machines. I had the prototype from Yamaha ’cause I didn’t want nobody else to get it.
