probably a ridiculous question but us3 used to be called something else before they got permission to use all the blue note samples, they did a track under that name that i've been after for years it goes "the band played the boogie" and I think they might have been called nw9????, did have it written down on a tape I recorded of kiss but thats long gone now

Since posting I've had this persistent worry that maybe I'd mixed it up with this break Zero-G: The Funky Element - Hot Pants! But seems it is correct. There are some better examples but I never seem to remember, when I stumble on others I'll post some more
