This caught my eye. Ornette is convinced that this is not the 22nd August show but actually the 18th July show.
So, it was me where Dombrowski originally got the date of 22.08.97 from,
though had mentioned I wasn't 100% sure and that "
but I will find out when I start going through all my 97 bits and bobs and cross-referencing in the thread".
Later, after listening to his recording, I realised this couldn't be correct, but the problem then was it seemed to throw my other dating out of whack. I never confirmed a revised date in the end.

I'm pretty certain the week before he played and said it was from Germany or something, there was no voiceover I caught for it this time round
(22/8/97). Pretty certain its not any of the ones you have mentioned...

Interestingly this actually checks out. What we have fairly well established as
15.08.97 we indeed find the same tune being played, with the voiceover: "
Seems like the boys overseas are getting a bit wild...! That's a piece that I got through the letterbox out of Holland... and I'm mighty impressed".
I remember hearing also that "Digital" Boymerang remix, and of it being an occasion from when I was
not recording, so it definitely seems I was listening in that week. Later I would be disappointed that the original instrumental of "Digital" would not find its way on to the
2x12" release...
However, for the show in question, at the end Grooverider is heard stating "
Right I'm gonna break out... 'til next week", which wouldn't line up with it being the 22nd, and also elsewhere about Frost being on that following wednesday, which in the normal rota of things would also not be correct.

I see JJ's updated with a provisional date of 18th July
It
would however, line up with it being the 18th...
though it has since been
established that Frost was not on that week, but two fortnights earlier. It could be argued that Grooverider made a mistake, and was not aware of the show swapping in the week, though since a recording for the
18.07.97 has been confirmed. Again in the
first instance, it being the 18th seemed to raise 'some' issues for me... but what exactly I never got to the bottom of.

Ive just come across this tape. It appears to be a Metalheadz session broadcast live on Kiss Fm sometime in 1997.
This is starting to ring a bell actually. Is this the first half to the Grooverider section you posted? I seem to remember a show where it WAS live, and the second half in the studio... i think these two were it
This is not ringing a bell so much anymore, looking at it now. I think what I was being reminded of was
this occasion on Radio 1, when I tuned in and it was live, and I tuned back again and it was Fabio & Grooverider.

Could this 18th July / 22nd August recording be another part of the show from
20th June 1997?

I mentioned in this post a few years ago that the Grooverider set currently dated 22.08.1997 might be from the last hour of the 20.06.1997 show and he mentions on that set that JJ Frost is hosting the next Wednesday show:
It really does seem, bizarrely, this is true. Save some strange situation where the
25.07.97 was misdated, and was actually the 22nd Aug, which doesn't seem to have
panned out... It really does seem this is the second half of 20.06.97
There had been something troubling me about the first C60, there was a little fragment of Makai "Omen" somewhere out of sequence that I wasn't able to resolve. When I look at it now, it seems I must have went to record the track but hit the end of the tape, and so fast forwarded somewhere onto side A to catch more of it. This then, must have been what I went over when I went to catch the overflow of "Plastic Dreams" from the end of
27.06.97 as mentioned - leaving a tiny fragment of it from underneath.
