Thrash
I thought that Stu Allan set was from Club Tour VI on 4th December & the Ratty set was 18th December?
oldskoolforever
I thought that Stu Allan set was from Club Tour VI on 4th December & the Ratty set was 18th December? The Stu Allen set is definitely from Club Tour VII .. you can see a pic of the official tape here : http://www.ebay.co.u...3-/181975831027Similarly, if you do a google image search you will see the official Ratty tape from VII. There is a Stu Allen set from Club Tour VI 04/12/92 & Ratty from 18/12/92 according to Fantazia's website. I have some tracklists from Club Tour VI which i will put up later. djkryptonn
I worked off the tape covers when I set up this thread. The tapes listed above are all definitely labelled up as Club Tour VII. Ratty and Top Buzz both played at the 8th January event (flyer here: https://phatmedia.co.uk/flyers/event/fantazia-club-tour-7-wellington-telford-1993-01-08). Stu Allan didn't play on 8th January but it's labelled up as Club Tour VII so I'd hazard a guess it might be from the 29th January event based on the same flyer. Ah, yes just looked at the flyer again and Stu Allen not down on 8/1/93. The official tape just says "Live at Club Tour VII", so i guess it must be the 29th Jan event. I might buy the other tapes just to find out !
jj
I think the tape inlay is misleading for the dates. The Top Buzz Fantazia Club Tour VII tape is a studio mix and not from a Club Tour night. The tracklist for the Stu Allan set is similar to other sets he played in December 1992 and the MC also says "sound of Stu Allan taking you higher 1992". MC Lethal is also on the set and he is listed on the flyer for the 4th December 1992 night.

Hmm... sounds like Fantazia have got their labelling mixed up then as unlikely the MC would get the year wrong ! Fantazia only have the one Stu Allen set for sale from 04/12/92.... suspect it probably is the same one then & it was labelled up incorrectly on original tapes. Would be nice to get a 100% confirmation though.
djkryptonn
Thanks. I've updated the list - there's now 3 tapes listed but only one is actually what it says it is. And they're not even bootleg tapes! Got to love the old days
nebkins
This set has come to light https://www.mixcloud...-skelter-61192/ Its definitely not from 06/11/1992 as the set has virtually all the tunes from his Quest 09/01/1993 set. So could the above set be Fantazia 08/01/1993 or is another early 1993 set Here is the tracklist: DJ Ratty DJ Crystl & Slipmaster J Drop X.T.C (Remix)Nasty Habits Mayday, MaydayOrca My BrothersEssence Of Aura DestinyTango & Ratty Tales From The DarksideUniversal Sound Untitled (B)Nasty Habits Here Comes The Drumz (Remix)Two Bad Boys Bunker Jungle (West-Side Bogle)Mo2vation & Apex Dope Request (Part One)Force Mass Motion EsthisisDJ Seduction Sub DubMegadrive Mega 2 (A)Tango & Ratty Final ConflictWots My Code Dub PlateD-Force Original Bad BoyNoise Factory Breakage #4D-Force Ruff!!! It come as the other side of a Carl Cox set im pretty confident is Carl Cox from Fantazia 'Club Tour VII' on 08/01/1993 so everything would indicate this mix is actually also from the same rave on 08/01/1993. nebkins
The official Ratty set for Club Tour VII sounds more like a set he would play in late November 1992 or December 1992 just based on him playing Sudden Impact and Sensi Tip so i have a feeling this might be from Club Tour VI

Just to add one other piece of information, MC Joker is the the MC on the Ratty Club Tour VII tape. Checking the flyers, the only night with Ratty and MC Joker is 18th December 1992 (part of Club Tour VI). Therefore, the information provided by Thrash above is correct. Thrash - apologies for not updating this with your info earlier. I guess I had too much faith in the inlays being accurate. However, based on everything here (and in the Club Tour VI thread), it actually looks like none of the tapes labelled Club Tour VII were recorded at Club Tour VII events. I've updated the info in the opening post with the correct dates.
Thrash
I’ve always had a theory that Gideon Dawson used to sort out the tape releases for Fantazia & knew exactly what he was doing. After he left it went downhill in terms of accuracy. Whoever was releasing the CD’s on Fantazia’s website about 15 years ago definitely had no idea, which is why we took so long figuring out who actually DJ’d at Fantazia NYE92/93.
