Oh wow! This is interesting. I see this is form the OMI Sample CD "Universe of Sounds" either Volume 1 or 2. Listening to the video there a a LOT of well known samples and i'm always astounded that so many "real" artists just use samples from Samplers, Synths and tracks adlib without any modification. This is really interesting.

I saw the same sample was used in 1986 by Ultravox - "Dreams", and i believe the sample CD came out in 1986 too. Can't find a lot of information about the original CD, only the Kontakt Library it was modeled to. I guess Kirkham did use the Emulator II, not the Kontakt one.

I assumed that Tangerine Dream with all their history would've made a genuine track with own melodies and though this one was the original source, as it would've fit the timeframe of all the other tracks.

I assume a addition for Samplers and Synthies on RDB for Sample sources was discussed, but i think it would've been a deeper rabbit hole to climb into, than one could imagine. The Korg M1 samples alone are overwhelming. ;)
