Chaos & Julia Set

A conversation with Theorie jogged this from memory.

The 1994 released

Chaos & Julia Set - Fear The Future EP

has this track on it "Fear The Future (Original Chaos Mix)" which oddly enough is the same track as this (!!!):

Agent Orange - Tecnoska EP

"Getting Rougher (DJ Kaos Remix)"

So a few things: change release date on RCL002 to 1994 - this was a May time release. Certainly not 1993.

Chaos = DJ Kaos.... actually this is not certain looking at the discogs... but I do think I made this connection after comparing RCL002 & AO002 and reading something in a mag... theres a picture of DJ Kaos somewhere wearing dark glasses and a turban! As well I had then gone on to consider Chaos/Kaos as otherwise happy hardcore & therefore to be avioded (happy hardcore witchhunter here...) so good(ish) chance DJ Kaos = Mark Pritchard...

3rd observation: from what I gathered from B2VOS at some stage is that

http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/recoil/rcl001

is not the same as

http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/vinyl_connection/rclr001

and that the 2004 RCLR001 re-release is missing the 4th track "Bounce"

the agent orange no. 2 came out in 1993 not 1992 as the database has on it as thats when I brought mine because I used to hear ratty kane that tune to death back then during his jungle techno period,

jungle techno...what a lost musical artform , now don't get me started on that !.

Ooh I dunno, I think I got mine in 1993 from Tower Records (remember them?) but coulda sworn it was certainly played from late 1992, pretty sure it had a nov/dec 1992 release. Remember I got it thinking it was "Anything" by A Guy Called Gerald (didn't know it was called that then...) and was disappointed when I got home. Took it back a week later...

Still I managed to own a copy later! What a tune!

And "Anything" - what a tune as well... RRRRRRRRRRRIIIIPPPPPP!

Talking of which, wern't there a VIP mix of "Anything" a little while back? Swear I saw it in one of those 1xtra Baily tracklistings

I got my copy of agent orange 2 back in summer 93 and ratty was playing it about then or a month or so before . it must have come out then as recoil records 01 came out late 92 or very early 93 and when recoil 02 came out I sold agent orange no2 in 94.

i'm pretty sure on the dates as I used to buy at least one or two ratty tapes a month in 93 and I seriously got locked into anything jungle techno until it's demise in 94.

I will dig out my ratty tapes and check them to be sure.

there was a vip of anything but cannot remember if it came out on vinyl or not. I did have a tape I copied of a mate who bailey gave to them and it said "is this dark enuff for ya" and I wish I could find it as it was sooo dark a mix, real black death like.

Can we please see the duplicate track be renamed please:

Chaos & Julia Set - Fear The Future (Chaos Remix)

This should actually be titled:

Agent Orange - Getting Rougher (Kaos Remix)

as per:

http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/dog_tag/ao002

Thank you

Well, the 'original' is actually the remix, to be honest.

"Getting Ruffer (Kaos Remix)" - the Agent Orange release - came out late late 1992, like December time. (God knows what the original "Getting Ruffer" was)

The Recoil #2 release is from 1994, with the A side (the so called "Fear The Future" original mix) getting bashed by the big DJ's for probably no more than a couple of weeks around May Day Bank Holiday 1994.

(I remember a rave where it seemed every DJ played it, but thereafter I never heard it out again)

Does that answer your questions - although wasn't quite sure what you was asking

heh, if you really wanna take this mindfuck deeper, check out Death Becomes Me records, and sift through the subsidaries to find the happy hardcore shit. You'll probally find those other tunes.

Not the only pritchard involved remix that's shown up as the original... :D

Heh, in fact, I remember reading that Link - The Augur EP is actually remixes of songs, but he just forgot what the originals were called, or something of the nature....

They're printed on the label....they're just illegible :)

Ahhh 'Link' yes there's some work to be done on that.

The Chameleon - Links is a another mix of Link - Amenian Amenity... yet it is not the Link - Amazon Amenity (Chameleon Remix) that features on this album here:

Do you have details on the Link - Augur Ep? Is not in the database
