Dementia ( http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/dementia )

is NOT Rouven Fehr (Dementia formerly known as Insanity) from Destination Unknown.

these are two different artists with the same name, like

Sniper from Canada ( http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/sniper )

and

Sniper from Germany ( http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/sniper_ )

Dementia (http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/dementia) and Dementia (2) (http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/dementia_) are not identical.

Rouven Fehr makes music since like 2000, so only the following tune is from him:

RESIDENTCD02: Dementia (2) & NME Click - Appendix 2006

Rouven Fehr is is member of Destination Unknown, member of Twilight Dance and also known as Insanity - so far it is all correct. but that tune:

12ORBIT05: Dementia - Dementia (Psycho Mix) 1991

is NOT from Rouven Fehr, but from somebody i do not know the real name of - but i am sure it is NOT Rouven Fehr. that old Dementia is also NOT member of Destination Unknown, NOT member of Twilight Dance and NOT also known as Insanity.

problem:

the releases of rouven fehr (aka Dementia) are filed on rolldabeats under the OLD dementia from 1991, which is wrong:

http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/dementia

just look at http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/catacomb...t_by_artist/asc

and compare the two listings of the tune "lost boys" (aka "THE lost boys")...

wouldn't it be better and easier to rename the old "Dementia" from 1991 to

Dementia (old)

and rename "DJ Dementia" (Rouven Fehr, the guy releasing tunes TODAY and not 1991) to just plain "Dementia"?

...instead of correcting every "dementia" release after adding it to the wrong place in the database...

or giving the old dementia the name "Dementia (2)", like in the case of mayhem?

so future releases wouldn't get mixed up in the very same manner as all releases apart from the ones on http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/dj_dementia

When the same artist name is used more than once by different people, we give (2), (3) etc in chronological order, as determined by the year of first release. The only exceptions we make are if the currently active artist is a huge name (eg, pendulum).

Because Thijs is the only one adding stuff to the database at the mo, and because of the huge number of submissions we're getting at present, some things go in the wrong artist occasionally. So checks of the data by people who submit stuff are very useful - thank you! Hopefully once there are more of us adding stuff to the database there'll be more time to double check when entering stuff :)

yeah, i see :)

so i'll continue pointing out things to fix when i stumble over them.

btw a good point in time to utter my huge respect for you guys running this database - it is in fact by far the most valuable / "best" website in conection to dnb. can't be overestimated.

THANK YOU!!!
