Amazon 11 will need alot more work but that's ok it's all good. You could be right re Amazon 10, unless the events were at The Junction? Maybe it would have been Warning releasing these sets via the Amazon packs. I know there were quite a few collabs between 1N and Warning around 99/2000. I don't know of any events in Cambridge off the top of my head but will have a look around for flyers etc. Again off the top of my head (not the most reliable source!!) I can't remember a B2B set with Darren Jay and Swift being released in a 1N pack from this era (99/00) which leads me to believe some of the 1N & Warning night might have been in Cambridge Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

djkryptonn Posted May 21, 2018 Report Share Posted May 21, 2018 Volume Two (4-Pack): DJ Rap, Nicky Blackmarket and Hype were all recorded at Gamma Funkula events in Coventry around Spring 2000.- The MC on Nicky Blackmarket refers to the "Bank Holiday Splash" so I reckon it's one of the May bank holidays, but could be Easter I guess.- MC Fats on DJ Hype refers to the "True Playaz Night". Gamma Funkula flyers are even harder to find than Warning flyers!!!! "Trouble On Vinyl" (actually Notorious J) was recorded around the same time. So far as I can tell, the MC doesn't mention the event, so it could also be Gamma Funkula, but I'm not sure. Mc is Darrison. Volume 1 (8-Pack): The Andy C, Hype, Frost, Kenny Ken & Nicky Blackmarket sets are from World Dance but it's not the April event. They were recorded at World Dance 'Phase 5' on 28th August 2000 at The Lighthouse, London Docklands. There's a few reasons why I'm pretty sure this is the case. The MC's refer to "bank holiday" and "carnival", the tracks played are more in line with an August date and the sets also don't match the ones released by World Dance for the April event (tracklisted here - http://rolldabeats.c...showtopic=69146). The first Bad Company tape is definitely from Turbo in Toronto, Canada. From the tracks I would guess it was recorded around March / April but could be slightly later. The Mickey Finn tape is also a recording from Turbo in Toronto, Canada. MC Skibadee advertises a night on 12th August, so it must be recorded late July or early August. The Bad Company and Mickey Finn recordings are the same as the ones listed/linked on this page here:http://www.torontoravemixtapearchive.com/jungle.html The second Bad Company tape was recorded at Sidewinder in Northampton around July or August 2000. I'm pretty sure those Sidewinder nights were held at Pages Nightclub but I've not got any flyers to confirm. I've not seen any flyers for an event with this name, but the MC's refer to it throughout. Nicky Blackmarket has no MC’s so not sure which event but also recorded early 1999. I'm sure one of these contained a BC set with Darrison on the mic recorded at a Turbo night in Toronto I originally thought these were different sets, but they're actually different parts of the same set. The original recording is 90 minutes - you can find it on the Toronto Rave Mixtape Archive.The tape in the Amazon Jungle Collection Volume 11 pack is the first hourThe tape in the Urban Jungle Volume 1 pack is the second hourThey overlap in the middle.
