I thought twat as a verb had to be used transitively, meaning "to hit"

i.e. "That Johnson fellow tried to put a Ratt record on, so I twatted him upside the head with my shoe and nicked his wallet."

It does indeed mean that but the phrase "I got twatted" would suggest a state of mind achieved by consumption of large quantities of alcohol or, more likely, chemical substances
