This is the 10th release from SLAPPED UP SOUL RECORDS & they've a treat in store for you on this special one.

It comes from a man who has certainly been flying the flag high for the UK of late. We would like to introduce you once again to the very talented LIFFORD but this time he is coming armed with his debut single entitled "SINKING SWIMMING" from his new album project BLUE DYE.

This heartfelt track written by LIFFORD is his most personal to date as he sings about his long term battle with depression, LIFFORD speaks openly & wants his message to be heard by people who are going through the same situation but are too afraid to speak out & ask for help.

On the buttons we have the equally talented JAMES YARDE who is the Producer on the track. With an edged out beat, Smooth keys, Funky Bass & strings which works wonders with LIFFORD'S vocals, James has previously been responsible for producing tracks for TERRI WALKER on her first studio album named UNTITLED.

LIFFORD is most known for his chart hit collaboration with ARTFUL DODGER on the track 'PLEASE DON"T TURN ME ON" which reached number 4 in the official UK chart back in 2000. More recently the track 'PDTMO' was remixed by brotherly duo DISCLOSURE who saw LIFFORD perform with them at their sell out London gig at Plan B & also on ROB DA BANK'S SHOW on RADIO 1 live at Maida Vale with a line up that included SAM SMITH,TOM ODELL & ALUNA GEORGE.

We welcome you LIFFORD - SINKING SWIMMING 08/04/2013
