eXtreme
I've noticed this before but never looked into it, after finding a test press version of Liftin Spirit 16 & comparing it to another promo copy you can see the difference in Cat number showing you how many previous pressings there were. Ahh hard to explain! Example: ADMM16-A = Test Press 'The Mist'ADMM16-AA = Test Press 'Dreamworld' ADMM16-A3 = Promo 'Dreamworld'ADMM16-AA2 = Promo 'Ya Dont Stop' So that must mean there was another pressing before this with A2? & looking of Discogs there is infact another copy listed on there! Im not even going to get into ADMM18-X6 - Possibility of 5 other pressing with maybe different unreleased tracks? Think ill stop here, but at least this threads here for future reference
haste
That number does indeed refer to how many times that side has been mastered. It doesn't necessarily mean that it's a different tune each time, though. It could just be that they mastered it again as they weren't happy with the first go
eXtreme
Yeah, Dreamworld is exactly the same tune on each but TP has alot more highs, & the Promo one seems a little muddy to me. Would 6 attempts at mastering be normal? Just bagged the other ADMM16, im expecting it to be : ADMM16-A2 = Promo 'Ya Dont Stop' mix 1ADMM16-AA2 = Promo 'Ya Dont Stop' mix
