there was a bootleg at one time with just "snowman" etched on it and 2 of the tunes from the full 4-tracker... think IMO was involved

Personally I don't think "Snowman" should be taken out of the title of the tune -- that's how everyone has identified the tune since it came out in '93

It samples Aled Jones' "Walking In The Air", which was on the sound track to the animated version of Raymond Briggs' Snowman cartoon

I knew that it was called "Snowman" because it sampled the theme song to a cartoon with the same name.  Of course, being an American, I had never seen or heard of this cartoon before... I think I just remember asking Haste several years ago why the tune was called "Snowman" and he told me

But that isn't an argument for removing it from the title

OK... cool....  as far as I remember we only called it "Snowman" as a nickname - the XPROJECT1 that I half-inched from a pal had "Snowman" written on it - but I think thats only because its quicker to say:

"yeah have you got that Snowman tune"

than to say:

"yeah have you got that Walking In The Air tune"

My reasons for wanting "Snowman" in the title are descriptive, not prescriptive.

I want it in there because that's how some people know the tune, and thus that's how they'll search for it on here.  Not because I know with certainty that Rebel MC intended it to be referred to that way

got this record sitting in front of me (10" black label one) i bought it in 1998(?) from blackmarket records so im guessing its a repress

all it has etched on side a is "dubplate1" and "musichouse" the b side just has "mh"

This is probably old news now but DUBPLATE 2 / DUBPLATE 2 DUB is the same as CONGONATTY 04 ( https://www.discogs....release/1335344 )
