tyranny's Achievements

  1. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090142/ Furney - "Cali Cali" on Advanced lifts pretty much the entire soundtrack to the scene where Michael J Fox changes into a wolf for the first time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2gXEQxf3tk <- the tune <- the scene

    Pi

http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/renegade_hardware/rh56/ Also sampled in Dylan - Human Error (and there's an audio clip at the above link to prove it)
  3. Splash Collective - Rebels Samples Vader; "Engage the rebels" Facs & Scythe - Cloned You on Biotic http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/biotic/bio007/ Samples a bit from the second film discussing the relative merits of droids versus clones.
  4. http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/african_dope/dope1201/ Also sampled in this rather obscure South African release, the same Louis Prima vocal as in the Formation release referenced in Haste's post. Tune also samples a bit of one Baloo's lines "it's going to take brains, not brawn *unintelligible* you'd better believe i got plenty of both"
  5. You're welcome squire, glad I could be of assistance
  6. Side A has the following inscription::: "At last!" Quite appropriately so, if you ask me!
  7. Hey lads - quick correction on the Scubas you have catalogued; SCUBA - the King Britt alias - has a few Scuba (2) releases incorrectly credited to him; the following release are all actually Scuba (2) (that is Paul rose) releases. http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/scape/sc57cd http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/offshore_recordings/osrcd002 http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/z_audio/zaudio2

    Escher

Howdy RDB crew, you're SO hot right now... Digging the redesigned site! Here's one for you - "Escher" and "Escher (2)" escher 2 is credited with a DD release on SC:Digital http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/escher_ escher is credited with a CD release on Deep Soul Music and a vinyl release for a collaboration with Shodan. escher (2) is the german chappy who did the sc:digital release as well as the deep soul music release, and has a tonne of really nice deep stuff forthcoming on a range of other labels in 2009 - not sure who the other escher is.

  11. it's actually a shout out to PHAZE 2 not PHAZE Z the "PHASE" is mis-spelled but the runout is a big up to all the non Dublin dnb crews operating at the time. Phase 2 went on to get another mention on the Rolldabeats site when http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/phase_2_recordings was set up.

    Hoek 35

Irish producer, only one vinyl release, on a french label - L.A. Represent - run by a guy called Weed J both sides are heavy (and rather good) ameny things only release on the label (which was set up solely to release Hoek's stuff as far as i know) was L.A. Represent 001 Hoek 35 a: To All the Massive b. Acid Star there was talk of another two releases, pretty sure they never came out; i was mc-ing at the irish leg of the label launch party, and six months later i was mc-ing for Sappo in dublin, who just happened to be wearing an LA Represent t-shirt... which is literally the last i heard of any of them.
