iamdek
For example, SMOKE02 = UNITY002 The Unity releases also have the No Smoking logo on one side.

The_Manipulator
For example, SMOKE02 = UNITY002 The Unity releases also have the No Smoking logo on one side. If I'm right that's only true for 2&3. But the question is if there really are 2 releases, or if it's just 1? I've got my catalogue listed as UNITY002, so is there a release with etched cat number SMOKE2?!? And I've got Kaleef (#10) listed as UNITY010T, so with an added T. haste
I've got my catalogue listed as UNITY002, so is there a release with etched cat number SMOKE2?!?This is what I was wondering too. Are there whites with SMOKE02 and the same tracks? I'm pretty sure there aren't for Lighnin' & Tunda but I seem to recall hearing about the Jaco tracks having a SMOKE03 release. I think the SMOKE02 release should be removed from the database or at least a not put up to show that it wasn't used

I'll check my Jaco release tonight .. but I'm pretty sure it's etched UNITY003. So would it be right to say that No Smoking, Unity, Labello Blanco, PWL, etc, etc are all related? haste
I'll check my Jaco release tonight .. but I'm pretty sure it's etched UNITY003.I think the ones with the SMOKE03 etching were just random whites, nothing to do with the Unity press. I'm not sure that they exist at all though. It might be best to remove both releases until someone can prove their existenceSo would it be right to say that No Smoking, Unity, Labello Blanco, PWL, etc, etc are all related? No, I wouldn't link them. I know No Smoking had a deal with Unity for those two tunes and I think Smokey Joe helped with the engineering on some of the other Unity releases. This probably happened because he worked at the record shop that the label came from. I wouldn't say there was enough of a link to make them related labels. They certainly weren't financed by the same people which I think is what the related labels thing falls down to most of the time

Do you guys keep a record of where the information originates? Like some info passed must be more reliable than others No, I wouldn't link them.Fair enough .. I guess it's a little tenuous
haste
I'd go with that. Do you guys keep a record of where the information originates? Like some info passed must be more reliable than others I'm not sure if Thijs does for everything. That's part of the reason why these issues are hard to clear up. I've never heard of these releases existing and I would have thought that I'd come across them over time...really hard to say, though

haste
Bump this one. I think we should remove SMOKE02 & SMOKE03. Has anyone ever seen or heard of these existing in any other format than the Unity releases?

Phokus
1 user has each... anyway to migrate that to the Unity releases in their collections?
haste
Yeah, that's a piece of piss once I have the dev server back up. We should probably find out who these users are and ask them about the releases anyway
