gd_81
anybody know where they are from? youtube clip here
haste
Fairly likely that they're not sampled. The main vocal was recorded for the tune, wasn't it? Would have thought that those were as well if that was the case

Would have thought that those were as well if that was the case i thought that....but theres no clean version of it on the record and i can't find any trace of an acapella, so i wonder how the samples were obtained (they are in one of the energizers i do believe?) The_Manipulator
DEFINITELY sampled!!! There are other records (earlier ones!!!) that use the same vocal bits. One was from the Praga Khan/Digital Orgasm/Jade 4 U people. But I never was able to find out where it originates from...
godfather sage
these vocals are on one of the Zero-G Datafile sample CD's... not sure if they were recorded specifically for that CD or not tho.
The_Manipulator
Hmm... most Zero-G stuff I know isn't original... Most sample series use vocals lifted from accapella's (though not everything is widely available as an acapella, most are songs that have had a proper release). Could still be that the Praga Khan/Digital Orgasm/Jade 4 U tune is the original, as they at least sing their own stuff (though on the other hand I do think something like "Injected with a poison! We don't need that anymore" was sampled by them...). Would have to dig out my mate's collection and see what tune it was that has the same vocal bits... AlexWise
I've been trying to find out for years what its from originally without any luck It's on a rhythm section track too.......... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=1fypcJ0f_gU *Digs up the old post* As said, it's on Datafile 1 sample CD. Not just that vocal part, but the woman doing lots of random vocal hums, yells and bits and bobs. It's of very high quality compared to the other vocal samples on the CD without any trace of background tracks, or effects. It's the same woman on the start of "The Touch" on the flip side to Valley of the Shadows.Which makes me think it's either a singer hired to do samples, or the vocal track from a never finished song that got sold off or leaked to use on sample CD's. If it has been ripped off another tune she is in for some serious royalties, as her vocal parts have been used all over the place.
