"Remains unreleased" - should they be removed, if they're confirmed as never coming out?

If the releases are from high profile artists, maybe we should move the tracks to the "Unreleased" label and then delete the ghost/dummy release?

Same with other stuff that has been confirmed as never coming out.

If you would be willing to sort out a list of those I'll remove them.

Is there anyway to search for comments that say "Remains Unreleased"?

http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/reinfor...rds/rivet1252tp
This should stay. Otherwise we get the same Enforcers 5/Primary Motive threads each time. BUT I do think that it should be clearer that it is unreleased (as it even has a label scan). And maybe a link to the thread in this case, since the thread has everything behind it, why there's a label scan and what's actually on it (so: what do you get if you see it on eBay...)

Same for
http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/ram_records/ramm55p
Big label and especially when the promo sheet for ramm55paa gets added to the release (it's already in the thread about it) this will keep spawning questions about the picture disc.

So maybe instead of the vinyl icon a big UNRELEASED thing?
Thanks to RollDaBeats I've finally found a use for all the records and CD's I have bought...

God, what have I got myself into

All the #13 releases are presumably missed because of superstition. Maybe leave in the database, but change status to "catalogue number skipped". Or I guess we could delete them.

Gamma Ray Music - GRRLP001 - will never be released. delete

Lo:cuts - LOCUTS003 - will never be released. delete or switch to Unreleased label?.

Photek Productions - PPRO1CD - will never be released. Some of the tracks were released elsewhere. Delete or switch those tracks that were unreleased to the Unreleased label?

Prototype Recordings - PRO003 - did we decide that this wasn't even test pressed?

Prototype Recordings - PRO006 - better to change to test press only, I think.

Reinforced Records - RIVET1252TP - also test press only.

SheeBeen - SHBNCD001 - never released. delete.
Skanna - SKANNA01 - label started at 3 cos the white house releases were apparently deemed to be "skanna #1" and "skanna #2"
Skanna - SKANNA02

Skunkrock Productions - SRP018 - never released. delete.
Skunkrock Productions - SRP019 - never coming out, delete.

Solas - SOLAS001 - delete. one of the tracks has just been released as an mp3.
Solas - SOLAS002 - delete. actually, label can be removed.

Strictly Digital Drum & Bass - SDDB145 - according to Nookie, SDDB238 and SDDB145 were "deleted".
Strictly Digital Drum & Bass - SDDB238

Are you SURE? All I've ever seen is a mis-labeled black vinyl Enforcers 5! Is there an actual test press containing the Primary Motive tunes?

With #13 releases that are skipped because of superstition - I think we should probably leave these in the database, but rather than "unreleased" we should have something along the lines of "cat number skipped".

I'm a bit apprehensive of completely deleting a release where labels have skipped a cat number. Maybe we could leave them in but put "cat number skipped" or "doesn't exist" as an explanation. Otherwise people will think we've got things missing.

I don't mind deleting stuff that was scheduled before labels went defunct, etc. (eg, the skunkrock releases, the solas releases).

I've always thought that having #13 releases listed in the way we have them is confusing for some users. I think, if possible, we should make the links unclickable and even grey out the line that features that release.

Good idea. I think something as blatant as "doesn't exist" would do, actually. Certainly for bigger labels that are just crap at remembering what's been used e.g. Formation, Ebony

imo this should be removed and tunes should go into the UNRELEASED label. I think it has been cleared up that TPs of this existing is a myth

Ivory - IVORY3
Ivory - IVORY4
These should be removed. They do not exist as Ivory releases. I'm pretty sure that some of the Alphabet Series 12s were going to be on Ivory but got changed (some have Ivory cat nos crossed out)

Not sure if "deleted" as a status means much at all. What Phokus is describing accounts for the vast majority of the db and something that wasn't used can't be descibed as deleted

Is this not the same as:
http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/buzz/buzz1t

http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/white_label/cb1

Is this really a different release to this:
http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/dee_jay...ordings/djx0020

If this really is a different pressing, perhaps it should still be listed under here:
