It definitely doesn't seem like an uploader error as you can hear them fade back out again... I suppose it was some contingency Radio 1 had in place in event of a break in transmission, which does beg the question of what exactly they were broadcasting in those interim moments. Some of the links were down by the time I had stumbled upon them, 30th Sept show was one of them. But if RaveUK is blunt, we can probably ask him to upload it again. Or put it on youtube. Those strange breaks aren't uploader errors for sure. D90_120 (Alastair from Dogs On Acid) also has the Fabio's set from that broadcast uploaded on his mixcloud, and I remember him mentioning that he recorded it himself on minidisc. Same breaks on his recording. I imagine they had some kind of a playlist for transmission breakouts, because I find it hard to believe they recorded entire shows that weren't broadcast. It does seem a little unusual that they had "Serious Sounds" playing though, a tune from 1998... actually looking now that The JB tune seems a little out of place also I would send RaveUK a message but youtube is pretty useless for that sort of thing these days. According to my browsing history, I was able to access some of these tracklistings on the 19th Sept (in particular 20030628, 20040403, 20030719 & 20021005) but now I look they all come up blank. So seemingly someone's taken them down whilst I was working though them I had only intended to cross-reference the unlisted ones from the Deconstructed site and then possibly go up to 2003, as I had a bunch of tracklists saved on my computer from 2004 when I was trying to track down a show with Jonny L "Let's Roll" in it... and then leave all the later ones to everyone else (which would neatly line up with my 'cut off' point for my interest in d&b) Which made sense as all the later ones were still up there on the BBC site. Ornette Posted February 13, 2018 Report Share Posted February 13, 2018 As for that 'radio 1 tour' I mention, having a closer look at those tracklistings on mixesdb it seems Fabio had a solo show on the 28/10/00, which would break the run of shows from september - november... unless it was an odd one out somehow? Unfortunately with no details at the moment for the 30th, 7th & 14th its a bit hard to say. Right so I've tracked down that 30/09/00 show, and yes it's Grooverider on his own in the studio He actually mentions in show about the tour "starting in November for four weeks" so seems the ones before then on the 23/09/00 and 21/10/00 were simply one offs, although does get confused whether Swansea (Cardiff?) (ie. Wales) was meant to be part of the tour or not when he mentions it? Also refers to the event the week before saying "everybody who turned up to the Radio 1 event at Fabric... The night @ Le Bateau was on Friday, 12th October. Don't think this would have been broadcast on F&G show unless it was pre-recorded and broadcast on the Saturday? I was at the night and I'm sure there was 'live on Radio 1' jingles throughout the set but could be mistaken.
