Shards
..... per topic title? I've already got the Self-Evident Truth of an Intuitive Mind + Chronology 2CD & Waveform + Police State EP 2CD, and the Long Time Dead New-School Breaks album T-Power did next. I've also got Timeless, the original NuForms CD, and the more commercial crossovers like Lamb's first self-titled album & Walking Wounded by Everything But the Girl. Have heard A Guy Called Gerald's Black Secret Technology a few times now, but have never been a fan. What Jungle vinyl I have collected includes: Krust Jazz Note/Burning http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/v_recordings/v006/ Ben Neill Tunnel Vision (Krust & Spring Heel Jack Remixes) http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/antilles/314_557570_1/Studio Pressure (Photek) Relics Remixes http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/certificate_18_records/cert1817/Foul Play Vice/Karma http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/moving_shadow/shadow86/Source Direct Snake Style/Exit 9 http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/source_direct_recordings/sdrem01/ I suspect I'm going to find more I like in Foul Play & Source Direct's back-catalogue, and I've been told that I should hunt some of the Jungle compilations on Sound of the Underground Records. I've got enough of the proto-Jungle Hardcore & Darkside business, and know most of the modern Drumfunk releases- Deep Rooted's Tokyo No Yoake is a particular favourite- but am happy to hear of anything you think exceptional and/or underexposed in those styles too. Cheers!
haste
If you like Jazz Note then the early releases on Full Cycle & V should be right up your street http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/full_cycle_recordshttp://www.rolldabeats.com/label/v_recordings (the first two, maybe not so much) For stuff along the lines of the Source Direct tunes these labels are worth looking into http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/3rd_eyehttp://www.rolldabeats.com/label/metalheadzhttp://www.rolldabeats.com/label/photek_recordshttp://www.rolldabeats.com/label/no_u_turn_records Certainly worth checking the Source Direct stuff and related labels http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/source_direct_recordingshttp://www.rolldabeats.com/label/source_directhttp://www.rolldabeats.com/label/odysee The 94 - 95 releases on Certificate 18 are worth checking too, particularly the ones that are aliases of Source Direct & Photek http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/certificate_18_records I dunno if I'd recommend the S.O.U.R compilations all that much, it seems to be a label that people recommend quite a bit but I've never been a huge fan apart from a few tunes on there. There are loads more to check out, most of the ones above are fairly obvious and I've tried to link labels that we have audio for on the site so you can give them all a listen. Let me know if they work out for ya This might be of interest... http://mrhaste.com/2003/03/haste-2-hours-of-lush-db-and-blue-note-breaks/ A mix I did a while back in this kinda style. There may be some tunes & artists in there that you're in to
Shards
Cheers! I've got No U-Turn's Torque & other Tech-step cuts off the sub-labels from that time, didn't know they did much Jungle before that though. And I've got quite a few releases from Certificate 18, so trawling their catalogue should be a pleasure Any particular releases on Metalheadz you'd recommend? I've got the first Platinum Breakz..... haste
There's loads of good stuff on No U Turn before Torque. All the Ed Rush tracks are wicked on there and the earlier releases are great if you're after 94 style jungle. Pretty much everything on Metalheadz is good, it just depends what style you're after! They all have sound clips on RDB so why not just flick through the first 10 or 20? The bigger releases are probably these http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/metalheadz/met006http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/metalheadz/met008http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/metalheadz/meth011 (personally can't stand this one any more but it was a huge tune)http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/metalheadz/meth015http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/metalheadz/meth023 But that doesn't necessarily mean you won't like other ones better
Shards
Yep, I've heard all those Metalheadz releases you've mentioned- they were recently repressed, I've got 023 Adam F Metropolis/Mother Earth but wasn't feeling the rest. Thanks again for the other suggestions though!

droid
Get the Foul Play album, and D'Cruze - control is a great 'experimental' jungle LP, though a bit ruffer than the T-Power. Reinforced's jungle book compilation would probably be a good bet too.
