  1. Hattrixx, I salute you... It's been nearly 8 years since I started this topic and I never thought anyone would find the source of that unknown latin percussion loop, it just sounded so obscure! Excellent find
  2. I think I remember hearing that vocal sample (20+ years ago!) on the Paul Hardcastle sample CD called 'The Wizard' which was released by Time+Space in 1992. The gunshot sample which was used in 'The Dream Team - Stamina' is also on there. http://www.discogs.com/Paul-Hardcastle-The-Wizzard-Dance-Sampling-CD/release/3707443 http://s.pixogs.com/image/R-3707443-1341184147-5284.jpeg
  3. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094898/ "That boy is good!" Sampled in DJ Dextrous & Rude Boy Keith - Jungle Theme [suburban Base]
  4. DJ Dance - Indi Bass [Wardance Records] samples a red indian chant from the film. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098188/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJ_UkFizDyM
  5. If you get hold of the Zero-G Datafile 2 sample CD then check out 'menace bass' in the Roland Juno 106 samples section, as it's the same one (reese bass) that was used in Ray Keith's terrorist + loads of other tunes. Most people say it was sampled from that Kevin 'Reese' Sanderson track 'Just Another Chance' but I don't think it was as that menace bass sample is EXACTLY the same!
  6. If we list the first one then we'll need to list the other two datafile CDs as well, mainly because they all have so many classic samples on each of them.
  7. I think that one was the Young MC - Know How 2nd gen apache.
  8. Not forgetting the Zero-G Datafile 1 sample CD too!
  9. "Welcome to blackboard jungle" Sampled in Wots My Code - Blackboard Jungle [XLR8, 1992] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIE--qDiBLk
  10. That'll be the 2nd gen amen from N.W.A. - Straight Outta Compton
  11. It's clean for a few bars in the middle of SL2 - Way In My Brain
  12. My ears are telling me it's from the Jnr Walker tune. EDIT: Heh, it could well be from the Prince tune! I just sampled his scream and if you pitch the tail end of his scream up by about a semitone, it sounds pretty close to what they used in Jump Around. The Jnr Walker sample (on the youtube clip) isn't clean, like the Prince sample is, as it has a snare drum mixed in with it. Unless the original vinyl has hard panned left and right stereo sound, it may be clean too. I'm undecided now!
  13. Also used in Equinox - From Above [breakin, 2004]

    Unknown Break

I just compared that break to the unknown one and they *are* quite similar but definitely not the same.
