I call it the Guiro Amen cause in the middle, it sounds like one of those guiro / fish things right?

I know this is like a 3rd generation cause it's the King of the beats Amen.

it's not clean in this track and I swear I've heard it on other tunes + a sample cd but I can no longer find it.

I thought this was off the Datafile CD along with the break down/fill. Imo the early X-static goldmine CD's were lifting samples off 'ardcore tunes. Didn't Bukem use this version on a "couple of beats"? I'll check.

EDIT, Opps i was well off!! I remember calling this Amen the "Shaker 2-10" I have always known the Amen break as "2-10" as it was disk 2, sample 10 on the Zero G Datafile Amiga disks!!

Hi are we talking about this break beat frankie bones - janets revenge.

This is simple to make fella's Mantronix amen with low bit rate, a snippet from 2 in rythm - happy magic and some booming bass at the start of bar 1 and end of bar 2. job done

Heres a quick one i did a while back lol...

Original by frankie - http://www.mediafire.com/download/9jtt4wrdeh44kcz/frankie_bones_amen.wav

My version lol - http://www.mediafire.com/download/9jtt4wrdeh44kcz/frankie_bones_amen.wav

And the bit that makes it all hang together - 2 in rythm - http://www.mediafire.com/download/tnd4o12gfd24fs4/Amen_augmenter_piece.wav

Oh yes "Janet's Revenge" - only heard about this one recently! I think this one is actually built from the Success N Effect "Roll It Up" amen rather than the Mantronix, which you can read about here: http://rolldabeats.c...showtopic=52551

Frankie Bones was clearly quite enamoured with the track so its not too surprising to learn he used it himself for his own little mash-up.... clearly a few of the tunes I mention in the other thread are actually sampling Frankie rather than the original. Egyptian Empire "The Horn Track" is one in particular springing to mind

If you post up the Frankie Bones break I'll update the other thread accordingly (make sure you follow the 'template' here)
