haste
We've added a few bootlegs to the database, most recently this one http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/white_slut/slut001 But, to make sure that people are aware of the fact that it's not an official release you can see the big red BOOTLEG on the listing There are plenty of others in the db, I'm sure but we need them to be pointed out. Two that I know of are http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/whitehouse/remark001http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/tearin_vinyl/gman001 List any others you know below. We do not want bootleg remixes just random 12s that have collections of tunes on them that are obviously not done by the copyright owners. If in doubt, post below and we can sort it out. Please feel free to list details of bootleg listings below too. Now that we have a way of distinguishing them from normal releases we might as well include them so that people can see

Christopher
http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/bootleg/junglejesus1 ... Sure it's bootleg? I coulda sworn I saw this being sold on places like chem and all sorts as the dj zinc remix...
Phokus
True, looks like it has been categorised wrong. I think we're trying to list shonky, illegal represses of tunes as bootlegs, rather than unauthorised dnb remixes of tunes from other genres. Shonky's gonna be my word of the day now, too. Cheers

haste
I had always intended the BOOTLEG releases to be the ones where tunes had been repressed illegally e.g. the Jungle Warfare series. Perhaps we could add an "Unofficial Remix" line to the comments of tunes that fall into the remix category
Phokus
Sounds like a plan.
thijs
well.. for now all releases on the 'bootleg' label can be considered unofficial remixes then...

theorie
surely this is a bootleg label? http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/black_velvet
Pablex
i haven't gone trough the whole topic so maybe it allready got asked but i was wondering if there shouldn't be some kind of way to let people know about new school jungle tracks mixing older or using the same samplesfor example:subnation "golden hen"twinhooker "golden dub"have used the same samples (slight difference in acapella but same artist/track)the newest version didn't sample off the first and i'm not sure if twinhooker was thinking about making the same track updatedunlikerenegade lighter by white lion soundsystem and tester's lightah on top ranking 2, which are 2 different (new school) takes on the classici don't know how people here think about these kind of mixes, i wouldn't think they're bootlegs since they obviously add elements or leave out somemaybe there should be an option to let people know some of these tracks are related, but not simply bootlegs? theorie
renegade lighter by white lion soundsystem and tester's lightah on top ranking 2, which are 2 different (new school) takes on the classic I suppose I'd refer to that as an unnoficial remix? We are talking about the ss track, yeah? Do you have audio of these?
