Abend
Quite possibly the best drum solo I've ever heard, thank you Word. Played well and recorded wonderfully. You can hear bottles being thrown away in the background of the club.

Eunomius
So I actually picked up a copy of this LP on vinyl the other day. Although it was recorded on November 7, 1970, it actually wasn't released until 1995. According to the sleeve it was part of the Blue Note Rare Groove Series. I believe there is also a CD version of this release. Artist: Lou DonaldsonTrack name: Alligator BoogalooOriginal release: LP, Lou Donaldson ? Ornette
Hmmm - interesting. A bit like the Hot Pants break - original track around since 1968, but the solo beat track not available until 1987 on the Urban 12" release And like the "Chorus Line" break - the root track for that, James Brown - Can I Get Some Help not even released until 1988 on the unreleased/rarities Motherlode album http://www.discogs.com/release/655779(With the excellent longer version of Drive Your Funky Soul on it  )
