A bunch of jungle IDs for the headz 8)

New clips:

Ron 14 (same samples as Buju Banton - Bring Yuh Body)

Capital J 1 ("rough rough rough")

Capital J 5 ("so bad boyyy")

Capital J 10 (indecipherable ragga chat)

Older clips that still need IDs:

Finn 5 ("I can't wait till the morning comes")

Frost 1 ("You little short mothafuckas better have your IDs")

Ron 4 (Beenie Man, "Don't pet or powder nuttin")

Ron 6 ("We say chill out chill out")

Ron 7 (Jazzy, Doors-style intro)

Ron 8 (Must be Dillinja)

Finn 1 ("Cocaine, cocaine and crack it nah nice")

Flex 1, if this clip is too short, please find a longer clip RIGHT HERE. It is the tune in between Yeah Man and Fresh Jive. (unreleased mix of Jungle Jesus?)

Kenny 1 (cheesy piano intro into nutty drums)

mampi 1 = http://tarzan.spoox.org/display.php?type=r...elease&id=15471

although it has the call the cops sample, im sure its this one & not the 'Kall the cops' track by Sacred also.

mampi 2 = a Guy called gerald track, ill check if no one else gets it 8)

Darren1 = its on the still smoking LP, again ill check

Yes

mampi1 - is the late 93 Sacred "U ready For Dis", "Kall The Kops" is the early 94 remix, similar but not as good

mampi2 - indeed is Gerald - "Gerald's Bassline" I believe

capital J 2 - let me know what this is! been after an ID for a while. have it on an old DJ Ash Kool FM tape

capital J 9 - now this is the interesting one, I believe this is The Dream Team "Jump Around" - a 1994 track from around same time as the Suburban Base released "Stamina" - which apparently was meant for release on Lucky Spin...

...but this never came out did it... I do remember it being played out back in the day though

Yep, Pascal - In Da Meantime (which is wrong on both the listing for the LP and the CD, listed as "In Da Membrane").

And I wouldn't call The Art Of Noise - Moments in Love "some hip hop tune"...(Mampi3)

Care to do us an mp3? 8)

Thanks for the IDs so far fellas, I've edited the list to remove the ones we've gotten already.

Can anyone confirm Mampi 2 as Guy Called Gerald - Gerald's Bassline? Someone else said it might be Cyberjazz

Nice whan :D

do you? wow! actually I think I only ever heard it the once, at Lazerdrome. Its probably unreleased due to lack of permission for the Chaka Demus samples... taken from a 1991 song of his called "Worky Worky" or something

Oh yes, errm... No its not "CyberJazz" on the album Black Secret Technology... although they were almost right... as "CyberJazz" is a reworking of "Gerald's Bassline"

For more info check my review of the album here:

Firm Handed #1 is the hardest of all the Firm Handed releases to find because is was white label promo only.

  • 4 years later...

I thought that jump around was ment for release on intelektive not luckey spin

Now mate dont quote me on this but kenny 1, i listened to it a few times and it definently sounds like something the urban tribe would put out, but i have no idea what it's definently not 2t (fredlocks jungle) and it's definently not that unreleased thing on SAS (cue6)

i dont know of any other releases by them, but as soon as i heard it they the first thing that popped into my head

Oh wow, you've re-upped the clip :) Nice one.

Ron 14: thought it might have been AK47 - Body Candone but its not

Capital J 1: first tune in mix is Lennie De Ice - Smackman (Mellow Lick)

Capital J 5: IG1 Collective - Well Bad Boy

The SUB01 tune (youtube vid here) doesn't have the "Come selecta man, yyyyyyyesss" sample in it at all though, and the drums are totally different... In fact the only thing they have in common is the "I can't wait till the morning comes" sample

It's possible it could be an unreleased mix of the tune but that's just speculation
