stenny
The classic quack/squeek sounds as used in Renegade - Terrorist (and loads of other old jungle tunes) are right at the start. I always wondered where the hell these sounds came from originally Jah Shaka - The Commandments of Dub (Chapter 1)
haste
Been rinsed in plenty of Congo Natty / X Project tunes, hasn't it? Assuming that they all got it from here
stenny
Been rinsed in plenty of Congo Natty / X Project tunes, hasn't it? Assuming that they all got it from here Yeah, the X-Project remix of Barrington Levy & Beenie Man - Under Mi Sensi definitely uses those sounds. Another tune that samples them is Good, 2Bad & Hugly - Got To Release. Now the funny thing with this one is that those sounds are also clean to sample from, at one point in the tune. If you listen carefully to the 'quack' sound, you can hear it has the reverb/delay from the previous 'squeek' sound mixed with it, which sounds exactly like the one used in Renegade - Terrorist. Have a listen to this and you'll see what I mean. It's a clip of the original sounds form the Jah Shaka tune, then the ones from Got to Release and then Terrorist. droid
That could well be the source, but they're just analogue siren sounds. Anyone with a Jah Tubbys siren or one of a thousand other versions can make exactly the same sounds.

mikeeee-mk2
XLR8 - Dub Plate (Simply Rolling) almost definitely samples it!
Ornette
XLR8 - Dub Plate (Simply Rolling) almost definitely samples it! I was going to say that this one seems to use the whole sequence! The original source question here is splitting hairs, this is a good enough source as any. If anyone has other sources they think are relevant, then they ought to post them in the thread.
