djkryptonn Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Anyone know where the spoken sample in this track comes from? "Volatile frequency overload. Transfer from sector 4-3. Quadrant 6, 6, 6, 6, 6....." Quote
co3xist3nc3 Posted September 2, 2016 Report Posted September 2, 2016 I've wondered the same thing for years, so I recently reached out to Dom via Facebook and got this reply. Don't know if he's bullshitting as the sample in the "Fierce Remix" clearly sounds like a woman's voice, but at least he was nice enough to reply. Quote
djkryptonn Posted September 2, 2016 Author Report Posted September 2, 2016 Interesting. If the sample is indeed Dom talking through his headphones then that's some pretty random stuff he decided to say. You're spot on about the Fierce remix although it's possible he just messed about with it and pitched it up a bit. At least we know what the first word is now though. Quote

Yeah, that's kind of what I thought as well. The female [sounding] sample in the Fierce Remix sounds pretty legit and not as if it's a male voice pitched up, but who know? I understand if he's trying to protect the sample source and can't blame him if he just fed me a line of crap. Such a great track, regardless...they just don't make 'em dark 'n dirty like they used to. Quote
