Yes, thats it, thanks! I'm pretty sure thats the same vocal. Listening to Retreat, I think i can hear the drums eq'd out. I think Double has used the Norman cook version.

vocal @ 0:15 "aaayeah" It seems this is an original vocal on the Assassins track, not a sample, but cant find it clean on any mix... I'm 'sure' its been sampled...maybe a DJSS or formation track circa 94/95 Ring any bells, please?

Ah thanks, JJ! makes more sense now...all the samples are from the Goldie original. And its an effected vocal sample not a horn!

Do we know anything about the relationship between these 2 tracks? i presume sinister was engineered by Marc & Dego for enforcers ep , then later possibly goldie saying something like... "i like this groove, pad and horn sample, lets use it on my album too". What's sinister a remix of? there appears to be no 'original'...

actually i think ive found it...i was struggling because we have this break as honky tonk...but this version is actually from the Ultramagnetic mc - Travelling At The Speed Of Thought (remix)....at the end 1:43 does anybody agree?

Herbie Hancock - medley suite (Revenge) Death Wish soundtrack 1974 large parts of brass sustain, strings and fx used in Roni Size - Saturday Night (Versatility 1997) There is also a flute descendo at 2:08 that was used in Mighty Bop - Muthafuckin ghost, but I know was used in a jungle track..can anybody remember? Thought it might have been an early Koda, Orca, Decoder but I cant find it... Roni Size parts - 5:32 - 5:50
