Turns out I ripped the tape in question many years ago. I've uploaded a clip here https://www.sndup.net/wpryf/ The sample I mean is at 33 seconds in. Sounds like there could be 2 tunes mixed together

The other week I was listening to MEET ME AT THE TEMPLE by CLIPZ / SHERELLE https://hooversoundrecordings.bandcamp.com/track/meet-me-at-the-temple At 3:23 in the above tune, this part really reminded me of an earlyish jungle tune 93/4 I had this on old pirate tape, it had a funky break, perhaps some reversed snares, anyone else know the tune I mean? There was a section in the 93/4 tune where the beats stopped and it was just this "fast cut in and out female vocal with instrument" sample that is very reminiscent of that bit in Meet me at the Temple. It's not excactly the same but very similar (in my head at least!) I've never heard the tune I had on that one tape since, so it's probably quite obscure. Great to see this forum resurrected by the way! long live RDB.

I tihnk the tune you're after in the vid was from the umoja crew who are in the vid just before it, (i think they were mc rush, jamac, bushman and shadraq), it might have remained unreleased.

sounds good, thanks haste i did try the -r search last night but it changed the -r to a *r (from minus to asterix) each time and didnt seem to work, probably for reasons just mentioned.

I've had problems with the new search as well. I'm not sure things have been ironed out properly yet? woudn't a -t search just bring up track titles and not compilation titles though? however using your example, there was a track on 'Various Artists - Promised Land - Volume 1; titled 'Future Sound Of Hardcore - Promised Land' which the -t promised land search should bring up. it does half way down page 1, but there are 4 search results before it where the artist name is promised land and the track name is something else. So i'm not sure it's sorting the order of relevance correctly, I had this problem myself the other day and even though i typed in the track name exactly, it was bringing up less relevant results near the top, i had to search by artist instead.. but if there isnt a way to search for compilation, album or ep name, that would be handy!
